Quite astonishing! I was wary of buying this tyre, but the price was good and the reviews were also good, so I took a gamble. I was so impressed that I immediately took the Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3s off the M5 and fitted these. The levels of both wet and dry grip are excellent, the progressiveness when breaking loose is excellent and the road feel is excellent.
I cannot recommend these tyres highly enough.

Currently only on the rear wheels, so some of the above points are guesstimates based on how the back end feels (with a front wheel drive car).
Compared to the well worn out Michelins that were on it when I picked it up, the back feels more connected and will probably rotate these to the front when I change them for Falken FK-452s.
That way I'll be able to report on the similarity/difference with the Falkens on the rear, and how the Toyo T1-Rs are at the driving end.
Some cite the soft sidewall (relatively speaking) as a detractor for the T1-Rs - I guess we'll see if that's true or not once they go on the front.
I highly recommend them, and if it weren't for the FK-452s, I'd simply have stuck a set of T1-Rs on the front and been done with it - but it's worth experiencing and experimenting to help myself and others sort the wheat from the chaff.

Having only run the tyres for a short period on my track day Ep82 I can't give a full review of the tyre, but so far I'm impressed. The tread looks good and purposeful. The compound is fairly soft so they pick up any gravel on the road and you can hear it bouncing off the arches :) Fairly cheap track/sport tyre but do a good job

The toyos provide a MUCH quieter and more comfortable ride at the expense of a little feedback through the wheel. The soft tyre walls can be compensated for with adjustment to pressures... I've gone for the max pressure minus 10% approach on the rear so 40 psi and 35 for fronts. This gets rid of the 'squidginess' and leaves them communicating grip levels pretty well. Now just very progressive on the limit. Adjusting pressures VERY important with these tyres. Dont know yet how this will effect wear.

A good all round tyre but dissapointed with the dry grip. Although its pretty good it quickly finds the limit and squirms about so not ideal. Not suitable for cars running more than 280bhp in my opinion, or if you like traffic light grand prixs.
Wet grip is pretty good however.
Unfortunately 60% isn't good enough for me (despite cost) so I won't be buying them again.

Compared to the ditch-finders currently fitted to the front of the car, the T1Rs perform very well on normal UK roads. When the tyres were in their prime, I was unable to get them to step out of line (in the dry) however hard I tried. My only warning factor with these tyres is that they wear very quickly (I've managed less than 8k miles on this pair) and although the car is RWD, I would've expect a little bit more life out of them.

Adequate, but not great tyres. Very soft sidewalls mean a comfortable ride, but you can feel the back of the car squidging around which isn't particularly confidence inspiring. Although they made do on the MR2, I would only use them again if I couldn't get anything better. Rears lasted about 9k miles on a mix of driving.
