Mitsubishi carisma Tyre Review Highlights
Writing about the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen 3 given 87% (185-65-14)
I based my buy in this website, basically because my vehicle, a Mitsubishi Carisma of 1997, uses 14 inch wheels, a diameter that's getting deprecated in the release of new gen tires, and I needed more information about the best models I could choose, I had to choose between this model and the Hankook kinergy 4s2 and I chose Goodyear cause they seem to endure more mileage, although hankook may be a better bang for the buck. I haven't had this car enough to test more tires that this one, but overall, my experience has been great, most time I've driven this car is on a dry road and sometimes wet but I live in a pretty dry territory, I have tried to make a more "sporty" use to see what these tires are capable of and it has an amazing grip, I feel like it's incredibly hard to lose control, something I find specially important since my car has no ABS or ESP or TCS to compensate.

In terms or reliability I have to say I had an small leak recently on the rear left tire which lead me to repair it but after a quick and cheap visit to the mechanic it gave me no more problem.

In terms of noise, considering I haven't measured it specifically I would say these are very silent, most of the noise I hear with this car is aerodynamic, the engine or certain parts of the interior due to their age, I tried the car on sound-absorbing asphalt that has been recently installed in my town and that absorbs around 75% of the rolling noise, other cars I've experienced to hear had a massive difference but not with mine, which leads me to think that there is not so much noise to absorb from the tires.

I hope these to be my tires for a loong time, for now it seems like it's the case since the tire wear with this mileage is minimal.

Great summer tire, very responsive on dry and especially warmer weather. Below 10 degrees C the performance starts to heavily decay.
They seem to barely wear, still having as much profile as when I bought them 5.000km ago.
In the wet, they don't give much confidence and you quickly start to lower your speed when it rains a lot just so you can keep control of the direction your car is going in.

Writing about the Continental Eco Contact 5 given 47% (195-60-15-)
Driving on mostly country roads for 10000 spirited miles
Dry grip is impressive for an eco tire, wet grip I'd say is acceptable. Noise is good on autobahn quality road surfaces, but they're loud as heck on coarse norwegian asphalt. Their sidewalls are so thin, that the tires feel like they're about to fold when going trough corners at speed, in addition to developing bulges easily. The sidewalls do, however, do very little good in terms of high frequency vibrations. One impressive attribute at the end. The tires are precisely molded, and only one of four needed any balancing weights during mounting. Conclusion: The ecoContact will treat you well if you drive at granny-speeds and money isn't a problem. If you drive at normal speeds, and like to feel what you're doing, look elsewhere, particularly if your car uses high profile tires. Would be an allright buy if they cost half of what they actually do.

I have absolutely no objections to these tires. it's really good tires even comparable with the tires from the top shelf. The only rule, minimum tread deep 3 mm! remember! below that, on the wet surface even the best tire behaves unpredictably!

Not long replaced the Uniroyal RainSport 2's for the 3's and they have definitely improved on an already great tyre. For the money you can't get a better tyre. Excellent in all conditions!

Writing about the GT Radial Champiro BAX given 83% (195-65-15-H)
Driving on track for 20000 average miles
I bought my used car a year a go. It came with 2 years old (10K km) Champiro Bax tyres. I have gon 20k km with these tyres and it seems that they can go 30k km. more. Wear performance is excellent.

There are 2 steep hills on my route between home and work Furhtermore, these 2 hills are located just after traffic lights. So, my route is a perfect test-bed. I have seen many cars with tyres of other brands skidding and slipping (this, though, might also be related to drivers' skills) but Champiro BAX tyres were always great.

Though they are great, i believe there are quiter tyres on the market. I would definetely buy Champiro Bax again (would probably try BAX 2 next time.)

Boughty these as I thought I was getting a mid range tyre at a budget price - wrong! These are just basic tyres - very nervous in the wet, quite noisy / harsh, and don't last as long as the sidewall markings would indicate. Would not buy again.
