Methodology & Configuration
Scoring Process
  1. Collect Test Data: Gather results from professional tyre tests across multiple publications. Minimum 1 test(s) required.
  2. Normalize Positions: Convert test positions to percentile scores using exponential weighting (factor: 1.2).
  3. Apply Recency Weighting: More recent tests are weighted higher with a decay rate of 0.95.
  4. Incorporate User Reviews: Factor in user review data (minimum 5 reviews). Weight: 15%.
  5. Bayesian Smoothing: Apply Bayesian prior (score: 7, weight: 1.5) to prevent extreme scores with limited data.
  6. Calculate Final Score: Combine all components using normalization factor of 1.1. Max score with limited data: 9.5.

Given 49% while driving a Nissan 300ZX (225/50 R16) on a combination of roads for 7,000 average miles
These tires absolutely suck on wet roads. I totaled my 300ZX because of the. Allow me to explain.
I have a NA Z32. 220 HP 200 TQ, so by no means is this considered a "fast car" by most standards. I've never had issues with these tires unless the road was wet. When driving these tires on wet road, they suddenly become the most unpredictable and deadly tires ever. Over the course of having them for 8 months, I've done many unintentional burnouts when its raining, even when a actively trying to take it easy. On time I was accelerating ffrom a red light and after shifting into 2nd the tires just lost all control and I fishtailed a little but recovered. That very same drive, I was going around a right turn in a residential area, I was in 3rd and after completing the turn I go to accelerate and I spin out. This car, a 220 hp 20 year old NA V6, was losing traction in THIRD GEAR going 15-20 mph.
Now for the inspiration for writing this review. I'm on my way to school, it had just finished raining, and I'm waiting in the back of a line at a red light. Turns green, line moves up and I go to turn right. I'm in second gear. I'm not going very fast to begin with because I'm in a line of cars coming out of a red light, but somehow after turning I accelerate and I start fishtailing again towards the right. I overcorrect too much to the left, and NOW they decide to grip...Right as I'm facing the side of a pickup. Bags go off, tons of pieces of my car go into the street. The truck just took a minor dent in the side. My car totaled, and its all because of these damn tires.

Given 77% while driving a Mitsubishi FTO (205/50 R16) on a combination of roads for 10,000 average miles
Agressive thread pattern and attractive price tag are two which caught my attention.
Road noise is average, dry drip is excellent. wet grip average. Wear is pretty good, still have 60-70% thread left after 10,000km.

Suffered a puncture due to a nail and faulthy valve within the period.

Given 79% while driving a Volvo S60T5 260bhp (225/50 R16) on a combination of roads for 15,000 spirited miles
Put these on my Volvo not expecting much. But they have been great in florida we get absolute deluges every afternoon and they have not skipped a beat in the wet. As far as dry traction they definitely are pretty good but i noticed pushing them to their limits you get all sorts of grip then its gone, where as some tires tend to slowly fade these just sign off. But you can feel the moment its about to happen pretty well. The sidewall is stiff but I like that because you get better feedback from the road and you know a little better when they are going to sign off. I have no road noise issues and I had Potenzas on the car last those tires were down right loud. I think a lot of people just like to complain, and honestly for the money these tires are pretty decent. But i wouldn't use them on my enthusiast car, i will continue to use Proxes on that.

Given 70% while driving a Honda EM1 Civic VTi R (205/40 R17) on mostly town for 9,320 spirited miles
I don't understand why there are so many people complaining about road noise. Yes they do create a bit of noise but its not that bad, the pattern on the tyre (from what I have read) is one of the worst for noise. My opinion is they are quiet enough and my car isn't the most insulated car either. Performance wise they were very good in dry, once they got warm they stuck very well and the car nosed in around round-a-bouts under power quite well. Wet conditions I would have to drive slow to prevent crazy understeer though. coming off the power and turning in I could get a nice controlled slide. (All canberra, Australia Roads)

Wear was not too bad I think I have gotten about 15,000KM out of them and they realistically have another 4,000ish KM.

I would buy these again but am going to try the KU31's next to see how they compare, I've been told they are better.

Honda Accord (225/40 R18 H) on mostly town for 800 easy going miles
I liked the handling and look. However by far these are the noisiest tires I have ever purchased. I've only had them for a couple hundreds miles and I'm considering replacing them already. There's way too much tread noise.

Given 77% while driving a Honda Prelude (205/50 R16 H) on a combination of roads for 0 spirited miles
I have used these tires for a mix of city and highway driving. These are good everyday tires. These are not good for spirited driving. Buy these if you need a set of tires for your daily driver. They last long and are affordable.

Given 57% while driving a Honda Fit (Jazz) (195/50 R15 H) on mostly town for 5,000 average miles
Impressed with everything, bar the road noise. These are the noisiest tyres I have ever purchased. As they are for the wifes car, do you think I cop a nagging for them! I am going to have to change them well before they wear out....
