Yokohama Parada Spec 2 Reviews - Page 2

Given 71% while driving a Nissan almera gti (205/45 R16 V) on mostly country roads for 5,000 spirited miles
Great tyre in dry. Leave your car at home when its wet.
i drove 7000km really sportive ( occasional track use) and i have now 1-2mm left on the tyre.

I dislike the softer sides of the tyre, thats why my next set of tyres are potenza re002

Given 94% while driving a BMW 325 coupe (225/45 R17) on mostly country roads for 1,000 spirited miles
BMW E46 Coupe my ratings are as they are on the road outstanding, if for a track day then no dont bother unless its a very very small car if track days or ultimate grip is wanted give federal 595rsr a try or better still nankang ns2-r . federal & nankang are 30-40quid a tyre more so not worth it if on road as these yokohama parada spec 2 are great for the road at only 90quid a tyre 225/40/18 square setup.

Given 69% while driving a Honda Civic Type R (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 20,000 spirited miles
Probably one of the best dry road tyres; however in the wet they can be very scary and do not take much to slip......

bought em becasue of the tread pattern.

cant be beaten in the dry, wet grips not to sad either, standing waters not the best.
cars on coilovers and its a weapon with these on.
would try again, but am going to run something else for variety, ie T1R

Given 64% while driving a Renault Clio 182 Cup Pack (195/50 R15 W) on a combination of roads for 10,000 spirited miles
I have these tyres fitted to 195/50/15 wheels for track use, but I also use them on the road. The dry grip is good, but not as good as a slick tyre per say, but this is to be expected on a road tyre. The wet grip is pretty poor, it is almost dangerous on a greasy road if you're not careful, but in the pouring rain, as long as you're steady, you won't meet a sticky end. They are much better at straight line braking in the wet than they are at lateral grip, so that's a saving grace where I'm concerned. You do get quite good feedback from the tyres, but the sidewalls are very soft and spongy and this does shine through in fast bends. They are a very progressive tyre, giving huge amounts of grip up to the limit but when you pass the limit they slow you down in a slide rather than spinning you out of control, they are very easy to recover. I have had these tyres fitted for about 6 months, completing one full trackday at Cadwell and a few months of steady road driving and they are wearing very well for a soft tyre, but my car is very, very light, so they won't be under much strain anyway under normal driving conditions. They are reasonably comfortable (more so that the standard 205/45/16 wheels) as my tyres in particular have a larger aspect ratio (side wall height) than the standard wheels, giving a softer ride. As said earlier the sidewalls are very soft, which is good for comfort. I don't think I would buy these tyres again due to the softness of the side wall, as they're not very good at all on track. But I have also had these tyres on a Focus ST in 215/40/18, and they were amazing on the track, although I did still manage to peel the inside tyre from the wheel and scrape my new alloys on the track... But I was driving, admitidly, like a tool. A good summer, road tyre.

Given 86% while driving a Ford (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 6,000 spirited miles
Replaced Toyo T1's with these tyres, look just as good, outstanding grip in the dry and wet grip no where as bad as alot of comments make out. The only change in driving style required is what would normally be expected when driving in wet conditions.

Given 93% while driving a Honda Civic Type R (205/40 R17 W) on mostly country roads for 0 spirited miles
Brilliant tyre done a rally stage on a bumpy country road yesterday the car was planted on the front but cheaper tyres on back and car was moving about a lot so going to buy two more for the back. Wet grip not just as good as in the dry but dry weather grip more than makes up for it.

Given 79% while driving a Skoda Fabia vRS (205/40 R17) on a combination of roads for 13,000 spirited miles
Been running these on just the fronts of my MK2 Fabia VRS TSI - given a high torque front wheel drive vehicle these tyres actually lasted a decent time considering the abuse i gave them too. Flawless dry grip (to the point my back end kicked out a couple of times trying to find the front end grip limit)
The wet grip is actually not as bad as people make out to be. They still grip fairly well in the wettest of conditions and weve had a few wet months. Water displacement isnt too great though. These tyres do love to kick it all over your windscreen.
So far im just past the legal limit and they still grip just as good as a set of nexen n2000's did with full tread. Will deffinately buy again for the price i paid for them
