Hyundai I30N Tyre Review Highlights
Fitted these to my i30n on a 4 for 3 deal to replace my worn pzero's. What a night and day difference.
Positives, The tyre immediately feels very direct and sporty and it's easy to feel what the front end is doing. Grip in the dry was incredible for a road tyre the just go and go, though they definitely need a little heat to work it's best. More on the feel I found the grip to feel very intuitive and I could tell when that "endless" grip was running out with the tyres breaking away progressively. The star of the show was the wet grip, I don't see any tyre ever wowing me more when I first drove them spiritdly in the wet. They just cut through the water and make it feel like you're in the dry, obviously there's a limit and I have aquaplaned on some deeper standing water but otherwise superb.
On to the negatives, the first this I noticed is definitely the road noise, the i30n is never a quiet car but I can manage to hear them over my exhaust cruising at highway speeds. They're also very firm, South Sydney speed bumps and poorly paved roads have never felt worse, that being said definitely something I could put up with being younger and with all the other positives. Last thing was the wear, on road they held up well for approximately 20,000km with many spirited drives through the twisties and the occasional launch control from a stop light. However one track day at pheasant wood circuit and they were toast, I expected some heavy wear going in but yikes! Front left tyre had some minor delamination and the tread on the front was gone particularly on the outside of the front tyres, the culprit being overheating according to my mechanic.That being said a proper alignment and maybe more careful monitoring of tyre pressures and temperatures they may have lasted better. Because otherwise they did feel great on track!
After said track day, they still felt okay with grip being about the same but of course replacement was in order. Unfortunately no 4 for 3 deals this time around and having being bitten by the track bug I will not be using them for my next with some Conti SC7's replacing them.
All in all definitely a great sporty tyre meant for enthusiasts. Maybe not the best for track days in a heavy fwd car but certainly a good tyre for some spirited driving and a sporty feel. Hopefully when the Potenza Sport Evo's come to Aus in my size I can grab a set and see how they fair as I really liked the feel of these Potenza Sports and without the track wear I'd definitely get them again!

The best Tyres for everything. this Tyre does not disappoint in dry handling very good in the wet never had a problem with aquaplaning and the grip in every situation is more then enough for most fast drivers.
its just important you use the tyre for what its made for if you don't drive sporty don't buy this tyre because its going to have uneven wear.
and for last the price is okey for what you get but its higher then others and if you drive alot like me you going to buy 2 new tyres every year.

I've had Michelin Pilot Sport 4s in 19" and 18" and both times the Tyres were amazing but the price is allways high. and the Advan Sport V107 didn't cost so much and deliverd amazing results in the dry with great grip in corners and braking but in the wet they are not better then the PS4s particularly when its colder they can lose grip alittle bit and aquaplaning is a problem at 50% tyrelife.
but overall its a great Tyre with good grip and direct steering responds.

I own a Hyundai i30 N Performance, which I use very frequently both in the city and at Track Days, and these tires really need to be properly understood.
The Pirelli P Zero HN is not a tire that gives you 100% grip from the moment you start the car, regardless of weather or ambient temperature. This is a tire that needs TEMPERATURE. It has to be warmed up to become truly grippy, and on public roads it is very difficult (almost impossible) to consistently bring it into its optimal operating window.
In my opinion, this is an excellent tire for learning proper driving technique. It does not forgive mistakes—when you make a technical error, you will feel it immediately. For this reason, I consider it very good for track training, where feedback and precision matter most.
On the street, it can be a good tire only if you manage to heat it up; otherwise, grip is limited.
The sidewall is very stiff, allowing you to take corners at high speeds without feeling the tire flex or the sidewall deform under load.
In wet conditions, however, performance is poor. In heavy rain or on roads covered with slime or grime, I strongly recommend significantly reducing speed, as grip drops dramatically.
Durability:
Despite frequent spirited driving, the tire lasted around 30,000 km, while also completing approximately 150 hot laps on track. Considering the level of abuse and heat cycles, wear was reasonable for a performance-oriented tire.
An important point: I chose to buy this tire again because I understand how it works and know how to take advantage of its strengths. Once you learn its limits and how to use it properly, it delivers exactly what it promises.
Conclusion:
✔️ Excellent on track

My previous tyres were Pirelli PZ4 which were awful/noisy/slippery, as you felt/heard every bit of road noise, unless driven on smooth tarmac.
The Kormoran KO Summer3 XL are much more superior. 'B rated' fuel/wet grip, great handling performance, smoother, quieter with excellent wet/dry braking and minimal tyre wear so far.
Definitely recommend these tyres or even Saillun Altrezzo if on offer!

For a road UHP tyre I cannot fault this tyre. In dry, warm conditions grip and feel levels are exceptional. Car came with PS4S tyres and these feel ever so slightly more sporty. I cannot notice any difference in wet driving or comfort compared to PS4S. Wear for me is entirely accpetable, prev these tyres lasted 21,000 on fronts (on FWD car).
Grip levels drop once temps are below 7C but this is a summer tyre so nothing surprising and I have never felt like the tyres were out of their comfort zone other than the rare occasions of sub 0C and snow.
The small rim protector has saved my wheels a few times, just don't expect a miracle.
I shop around and usually pay £130 for these.
Overall i reccomend and will continue fititng these to my car.

The Continental Sport Contact 7s replaced the OEM Pirelli P Zero PZ4, the difference in dry/wet handling/breaking and general dynamics was a night and day difference. After about 35K kilometres the Continentals SC7s are due for replacement, with a new set are going back on my vehicle. I had thought of trying the Michelin Pilot Sport 4s, or the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6, but I was suitably impressed by the Continentals to give them another go.

I've bought a set of Turanza All-Season 6 as my winter tyres. I live in a mild climate (Belgium) so we rarely see snow and if we do most of our roads are gritted anyways. I'm pleasantly surprised by the amount of grip these have in the wet. Yes you still get some wheelspin if you floor it, but that is to be expected of any tyre. Even with the couple snowy days we got, I had more grip than what I was expecting. When brake testing or even under accelaration I did not lose grip as early as I was expecting. Also steering feedback compared to the OE Pirelli PZero in the dry or wet seems to be almost identical. It still feels like a sporty tyre, so you can still have some fun with it. The tyre also doesn't give off any more noise than an OE tyre, even whith it's almost tractor like tread pattern. All in all, I would definitely by another set of these for my winter tyres if these where worn out. Highly recommend for milder climates!

Got rid of the tyres that came with the Hyundai n series because these maxxis were the better option for the car I’ve had no problems with this brand I can harder and faster then I did before

Fitted a set on my stock-ish i30N hatch (just replaced some front bushes to minimise wheel-hop) to replace a set of worn-out AD08'R's. The car is 95% road use with the occasional motorkhana thrown in - which is the main reason for running these tyres. (In fact I won a motorkhana series outright one year on the AD08R's!) It's hard for me to rave about the AD09's as the AD08's were such a phenomenal tyre. To be honest, I don't feel there is a huge improvement over the AD08's, except in wet weather performance, especially in reduced aquaplaning. So I would call the AD09's and evolutionary rather than a revolutionary step. They come into their own when you have a car that you want to indulge in some lower-level motorsport but don't want the hassle of buying another set of rims and constantly swapping them over. The one tyre will get you safely around town and do country runs in the wet and dry and then be ready for whatever spirited driving you want to throw at them. A pure blast driving them through a twisty country road where their sure-footedness and relative comfort allows you to safely push hard, knowing that a pothole or rut wont upset them too much. Because they've got 90% of their grip when cold, you can absolutely cane the opposition running A050's if competing in the wet. The only tyre that comes close when competing in the wet are the A052's but these are too soft for every day use. I would say hands-down, the AD09R is the best dual-purpose road-track tyre out there.

Initially I had PS4 in mind as my next tire, however since CSC7 released, I have been reading many glowing reviews. When the time came, I pull the trigger to try these SC7. They replaced the original fitment PZ4. I must say the PZ4 are very good tires, nothing to complain about. Except perhaps they wear out quite fast. My front lasted only 16K KM.
So what do I think of the CSC7 ? Freaking marvelous! The grip improvement is the first thing I noticed, this comes in the form of braking and cornering performance. It just bites and wouldn’t let go. Previous I remember with the PZ4 sometimes you can feel the slip, losing traction when you go all out accelerating (pedal to the metal) in 1st, 2nd & 3rd. However with the CS7 I have not experienced that yet (okay still new).
I do not care much about comfort/noise as this I30N is not a really a “comfort” car, but I will say this, it is about the same as PZ4. Wet weather performance so far so good. I live in a tropical climate country so the rain here is quite frequent and heavy. I have nothing bad to report. Traction and aquaplaning excellent. However one must be extra careful during wet weather driving.
My only reservation for now is the wear performance. From general consensus, previous SC6 people were saying that it wear out quite quickly. Well I hope these SC7 with the new ‘black chili’ technology will improve matters. If I can get at least 18-20K out of it I will be satisfied. For now I am already very happy with my decision.

These tires have been great on my Hyundai I30N they have great feedback, did well on the odd track day, stop really well and pretty comfortable on the road, however in the wet I found them not as good and they have wore very quickly due to soft side wall. If they did not wear so fast I would probably buy them again.
