Writing about the

Chosen to replace average 'summer' original-fit 195/60 Silverstone NS500 as theoreticaly the best tyres available for this type of good-handling saloon at present, regardless of cost.
Two other very good candidates, (that I've had experience of) were Goodyear Excellence and Uniroyal Rainexpert, but all reviews implied BluResponse as
being better.
Not surprisingly these Dunlops seem to be excellent in all respects and quieter than both the Silverstones on rougher roads and in this case even the very good 185/65 Michelin Alpin A4's I use in winter on this car, (the earlier Alpin A3's may be quieter?)
On smooth asphalt there is some 'wind woosh' due to their wide main water channels, (only 3 on this tyre size, not 4 as the image) but overall no noisier.
Other highlights include the braking performance and also the ride quality - as good as the winter Michelins on 'big' bumps and better when dealing with smaller imperfections.
Seem unlikely to last quite as long as either previous tyre mentioned, but I'm not bothered - they are only averagely priced and it's their superior performance that counts.
