BMW M2 Competition Tyre Review Highlights
Not great tyres for UK weather as poor in the wet and cold

I replaced the factory Micheling PSS with the SC7, after reading numerous reviews full of praise for these tyres, including some feedback from M2 owners that claim the SC7 has the same or better steering response than the MPSS. Well that is rubbish. Turn-in is good, yes, but the response is off - I can only imagine the sidewalls are softer than that of the MPSS. This, being a priority for me, ruined the handling of the car, and I threw them off and replaced with a fresh set of MPSS, not wanting to burn myself again. I would not recommend them to owners of M2 C that prioritise steering response over ultimate grip. If you can live with a slightly vague steering - then otherwise the tyres are great.

After reading a few reviews I decided to replace the Michelin OE tyres as all 4 corners were due and I am very impressed. When pushing on the front end had plenty of grip and gave a good consistent feel. Tyres don't have too much longer left but that's probably down to how the tyres have been used.

I drive my m2 competition to and from the track here dry Arizona. The Bridgestone re71 rs has lasted 2500 street miles and three track days. I do time trials so I am driving very hard doing about 2 time trials and 3-4 open track rounds per event. So in total the tires still are useable after 60 track laps and the 2500 street miles. Not to mention I improved my lap times by 4 seconds compared to the Michelin sport 4s. I highly recommend these tires if you're someone that drives to the track and wants to put in competitive lap times.

Dire. Even worse than the regular Pirelli Zeros, which were acceptable until they wore down to near the limit. These are the same, they're dangerous even with a few extra mm of tyre tread above the legal limit. The one saving grace for the old Pirelli Zeros was that they weren't that pricey for a 'premium' tyre, but that's gone out the window for these PZ4s as they're dearer than Contis. I am so glad to be getting rid of them, it seems to me that they've taken all the worst points of the old PZ1s and just made these wear down even quicker, and with a higher price. Awful tyre. Switching to either SportContact 7 or Eagle F1s, both great tyres.

Great tyre I would only not buy it as the PS4S is rated better and is newer technology

I took those tyres on a race track day on Grobnik/Rijeka Croatia, they were overheating massively after 2-3 laps. Front pushed a lot, I had to deal with under-steer a lot. I went for tourist drives on Nordschleife/Nürburgring Germany. On the first day we had rain, shortly anything more than road legal driving pace (not on German Autobahn :) ) made the tyre act snappy and very hard to drive. Hardly any traction in straight or in the curves. Not so bad with aquaplaning though. Tyres are sort of OK for daily commuting. Wouldn't buy them, I've got them with vehicle.

A perfect tyre, grip no matter what, when it's wet it still feels dry
