Performance Analysis
Drawn from 8 tests. Updated October 29, 2026.
Wet performance is the Bridgestone Turanza T001 Evo's clearest repeated strength. Auto Bild in 2017 found wet braking first of 20 and wet handling second, just 0.3% below the best speed. Sport Auto that year put wet braking third of ten and handling second, awarding Recommended in a field including track-day tyres. ADAC placed it second of 16 in both 2017 and 2018, praising its balance and wet grip. EVO's 2017 verdict also liked wet feel, though braking fifth of nine and handling sixth were unusually less competitive than those podium results.
Dry stopping and ownership costs are less convincing. Dry braking was eighth of nine at EVO, ninth of ten at Sport Auto and 14th of 20 at Auto Bild, with deficits of 4%, 11.3% and 6.2%. Sport Auto's mixed road and track-day field gives its dry result context, but it also criticised slow, inaccurate steering. Auto Bild's dry-handling praise was unusually favourable beside 13th of 20 numerically. Aquaplaning verdicts varied unusually too: Auto Bild praised resistance, while EVO found weak curved performance and Sport Auto criticised it. Auto Bild projected 25,889 km, 16th of 20, and poor value from price and wear. Low fuel use earned praise from ADAC and EVO, while EVO called road comfort average.
