Given 99% while driving a Volvo S60 TS (225/45 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 2,000 easy going miles
Got these to replace the now discontinued Ultrac. Was a bit doubtful at first as the Ultracs were fantastic tyres. But believe it or not these are even better. The first thing you will notice is the difference in road feedback; after the first 50 or so miles wet and dry grip is simply fabulous.
Highly recommended.

Given 84% while driving a Subaru Impreza (225/40 R18 W) on mostly country roads for 1,500 spirited miles
I replaced my old Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's with these and they are streets ahead in every way.

I think the ride is more comfortable than the F1 and the tyre breaks contact much later than the F1 used to under high speed cornering, whilst still returning enough feedback to the driver so they know it's going to happen.

Dry grip is outstanding - it's virtually impossible to unstick the car from the road unless you're really hammering it and driving in a bit of a crazed fashion lol.

Wet performance outshines the Goodyear dramatically, the previous skitterish slides and aquaplaning that I expericned with the Goodyears terrified me on occassion are gone - the Vredesteins are much much better, with good grip under cornering or in a straight line you'll stop quick (as long as your brakes work!).

To compare this tyre against a Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 is simply unfair; Assymetrics perhaps but then they're about ?20 more per tyre, and apparently suffer more for wear so I hear on forums.

Given 76% while driving a Vauxhall Astra 888 (225/40 R18 W) on mostly country roads for 12,000 spirited miles
Car has a shed load of torque (368ft-lbs) so drive tyres tend to be eaten when driven hard, Vredesteins were no exception.

Excellent in Wet, Very good in dry. Nice and quiet, but were quite harsh paired with 18in wheels. But all round much better than the Dunlop Sport SP01 fitted as standard

Wear was rubbish, being a soft compound the rougher roads in my area (The countryside!!) really wore them down fast.

Picked them up for ?105 a corner 225/40/18

Given 85% while driving a Ford 1996 Mustang Cobra (315/35 R17 W) on mostly motorways for 4,000 spirited miles
Good launch traction, handling is very stable up to 150 MPH (that's as high as I've tried). They look awesome on the Cobra.
Ride is rough but it is a Z-rated UHP tire, so that is typical.
My only complaint is that it follows truck grooves in the highway pavement pretty badly. You can feel them pull sideways while driving on a well traveled road.
Overall, they were a spectacular bang for the buck.

Given 26% while driving a Saab Automobile 9000 aero (225/45 R17 W) on track for 500 spirited miles
This is not a road test opinion just what I experienced using them at a recent trackday. They were scrubbed in for a 150+ miles. Track was dry and very grippy but the tyres just slid everywhere, I don't mind oversteer in my FWD car but these tyres just refused to grip at all. The tread whilst looks cool just folds over and heats up to much and spins and slides under any sort of provication. My car is putting out a fair bit of hp/torque but have never experienced such a lack of grip on other makes of tyres being used in similar circumstances. Whilst they probably are okay for the road (and I'm still assessing them) I should have bought the cheaper Toyo T1-R's which are IMO a far better tyre definitely on the track and more than likely on the road too.

Given 59% while driving a Volkswagen Passat B5.5 130 TDI Sport (225/40 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 7,500 spirited miles
Average dry grip and decent cornering. Poor wet grip, very spinny with torquey engine. Only cover 7500 miles when done.

Given 90% while driving a Vauxhall Signum 1.9 CDTI (235/35 R19 W) on mostly country roads for 500 spirited miles
Awesome. The original Continentals on the rear gave out at 29000 miles, but they are a trully awful tyre in this size, just waaay too hard making the car very pointy at the front and skippy on the back. An interim pair of Flaken FK452's on the front were still showing 3mm after 10000 miles, but a great deal and fantastic recomendations drew me to the Vredestiens.

Now, I was a stonewall Goodyear Eagle F1 fan, but having tried these on now for 500 miles, I'm converted. The back ones still have traces of the sticker on them, but the sidewall is softer than either Conti or Falken making the ride superb, the noise much lower and the straight line tracking fantastic.

Put it this way, if they make them in your size, don't mess about, just go and get some, put them on and enjoy!

Given 90% while driving a Mazda RX8 (225/45 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 40,000 spirited miles
These tyres are fantastic. So far ive only got these on the front (rears to follow shortly) but they are a huge leap ahead of the standard Bridgestones. Road feedback is excellent, dry grip is incredible and very reassuring, turn-in is sharp and direct, they're quieter than the bridgestones and they dont tramline anywhere near as badly. Only had them on for around 2000 miles, but so far I am blown away! Wet grip seems very good too (the Avons ZZ3 on the back break away long before the Ultracs do) and when they do begin to slip, its very progressive and predictable. Well worth the money!

Given 100% while driving a Volkswagen Golf GTI (225/40 R18) on a combination of roads for 15,000 average miles
The Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta is a truly fantastic tyre. They stick you to the road in wet and dry conditions and are quite long lasting, depending on your style of driving of course.

I'm due a new set of tires and will most definitely be going for 4 Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta's. They blow alot og big brand tires like Goodyear Eagle F1s (GSD3s) straight out of the water

Awesome Tyre!

Given 84% while driving a Volvo S60T5 260bhp (235/40 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 5,000 spirited miles
These are fitted to my S60 T5 running over 300 ft/lbs torque. Dry grip is fantastic, much less wheel spin and great feed back through the steering especially in the bends, improve brake feel due to the stiff sidewalls. Very good in the wet, I would say that they probably provide as much grip in the wet as my continental contact 3's did in the dry ! Totally useless in the snow, but they are not snow tyres so no suprise there.

I have previously tried both conti 3's pilots sp2's and the Sessantas are far better grip wise.

Downsides.... the first 50 or so miles they are shocking, very slippery. They have stiff sidewalls so the ride is no where near as comfortable as some other tyres.

Upsides - very grippy in both wet and dry, good handling with more feel and progression, quiet on the motorway, better brake feel. CHEAP !!!!

Would I buy them again... yes and im also telling every one i know to get them. Great tyre, infact probably the best tyre youve never heard of !

Given 89% while driving a Porsche 968 (265/35 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 8,000 spirited miles
Have used the ULTRAC`s before on the 968 and my tyre dealer mentioned the new sessanta`s.
Have done 6 track days on them and can`t rate them highly enough, superb grip, turn in. A confident tyre. Do start to go off when pushed on a hot day/track, but would definately get them again. Wet weather on track, left most of the participants behind on the more focussed tyres; R888, etc. Wear rate comendable. Recommended
