Best Tyres for the Mazda CX9

2021 Mazda CX-9. Tyre is incredibly noisy and almost makes a woooing noise on tarmac. Handles fine otherwise. Wear rating is only 300 - going to a Yokohama Geolander will give me a wear rating of 760 so it should make for a much more durable and hopefully quieter tyre

I replaced the oem falknen ziex on my Mazda CX9 with Bridgestone Alenza s001. I won’t buy them again even though they cost just a third of the price of the Falkens. The Falkens were very comfortable, quiet and had excellent wet and dry grip. I have only done about 1000 km on the Alenzas Road noise is unbearable.They are very bumpy, although that could be because the installer inflated them to 38 psi rather than 33psi as recommended by Mazda. I reduced the pressure to 34 and they seem a little bit better now. Wet grip is poor.

I have been using those tires in a wide range of situations: from German autobahn at 180kph+ to deep snow passing trough hot weather and mountain roads. Overall, when the wether is dry, hot, snowy and icy, the tires are performing fine (especially when new). The only real concern is the total loss of grip I am regularly facing when driving under rain. I noticed this to be likely related to the wear of the tires too. My conclusion: it is an ok tyre when use for what is has been intended for (Nordic winter only). However, there are tires with better performances on wet. Therefore, I would definitely not buy them again, especially when considering the asking price…

Great handling superb comfort and excellent wear, these are the main assets of the assymetrics, although on the down side theres noise, they are quite succeptible to the highway different compounds , they can go from zero sound to a loud sound on a different compound , of course all tyres are succeptible to this althouh these seem to be moodier to these changes. but thats my only critisism ... on the other side you can feel how much precise the car is and the handling it will not depend on the tyre anymore, iltll depend on the car chasis to match the tyre performance.

came as OE on my 2020 Mazda cx9 - reviewing at 85.000 km rn Average tire with some strong points and weaknesses, pros: -Long treadwear life, tire can survive another 15000 km easily. -Managed to survive Saudi Arabian extreme heat for 3 years and street potholes. -daily driven to work and 2 road trips on yearly basis. -low rolling resistance = good fuel economy cons: -past the first year and half the tire would develop some whining noise on highways. -the tire is too stiff for my preference. -tire behavior is unpredicted on sporty driving. -and the biggest CON PRICE PRICE PRICE! why would i spend around 300 USD on a single tire when I can get a full set of reputable Korean brand for 400USD?? This Ain't it, Chief.

I received this tire as OE on my mazda cx9 , as soon as I got into the car I noticed that the tire was ok was silent and comfortable. as soon as I started to understand the car and started to drive it in a more spirited way I realized that the tires reach their limits quite fast. cx9 is an suv like no other which drives very well specially in mointain roads ( which we have a lot in my country) definitively this tire isn't for this kind of roads , perhaps will be a good option in long high ways .
weeks latere I was able to drive an exactly same suv but with the falken tires ( OE as well) and realized how much I was loosing with the bridgestone option, the suv was taughter, more responsive , the cuves could be taken in a much sportier way.
one thing that I really don't like about the bridgestone is that every time you get into a curve , even if you are not going fast the tire sounds quite loud , not a screech sound, just like if u had saddenly gotten into a more abrasive road.
so at the end this is a tire that I wouldn't buy again and to the mazda ppl, this tire isn't what the cx9 needs to show its potential.

Had those tyres for two years and drove smoothly and quitely for 50,000km now they are very noisy and rough with little cracks .
Their proce was very reasonable compared to other brands but i expected them to last longer.
