Fitment comes from each tyre's manufactured size list, and the sizes are the ones drivers reported when they reviewed. Check the size, load index and speed rating on your own doorplate before buying - a size a previous owner ran is not always the size your car left the factory on.

Pirelli CINTURATO P7 215-55-16-W Peugeot 406 Coupe SE (3.0 ltr V6) 30,000 miles February 24, 2017
I've had these tyres on a Peugeot 406 Coupe 3.0i V6. Excelent tyres in dry, very good on a wet road. Going to buy P7 Cinturato again, 100%!

Star Performer TNG UHP1 215-50-17-W Peugeot 406 Coupe SE (3.0 ltr V6) 7,000 miles June 4, 2014
great tire, good grip on wet and dry. Rapid wear on the sides, the front tires have 10000km, tires rear them are OK.

Goodyear Excellence 215-55-16-W Peugeot 406 Coupe SE (3.0 ltr V6) 6,000 miles August 6, 2013
this is a very good tyre, excellent grip in the dry and in the rain, very safe at high speed, although the chassis of the 406 Coupé helps a lot, but I'm satisfied with these tyres. They are also very quiet. For a coupe or a sedan GT typed, I recommend.

Very disappointed, normally use Michelin Primacy but did not want to spend as much. Managed 17'602 on the goodyears, primacy averaged between 21k-25k

Continental Premium Contact 2 215-50-16- Peugeot 406 Coupe SE (3.0 ltr V6) 10,000 miles April 20, 2012
Very comfortable tyres, quite good in the wet and exceptionally silent. Good wear, reasonable grip. Not terribly exciting tyres though, buy if touring is the priority.

Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec 215-55-16-W Peugeot 406 Coupe SE (3.0 ltr V6) 15,000 miles March 15, 2011
Had these fitted as a mid-ranged (price-wise) performance tyre. The tyres gave very good to excellent grip on most road surfaces in most conditions even when the car was being driven hard. Versus the OEM Michelin Pilot tyres there was a slight decrease in road noise, improved handling, gip and feedback. The only downside was wear out more rapidly than the OEM tyres (and also versus other performace tyres which I have used on other cars) However as they cost me significantly less than the Pirelli P-Zero/Goodyear Eagle F-1/Bridgestone Potenzas that I also been considering it was a reasonable trade-off.

Who does the testing

Every test published as a Tyre Reviews test is run by Jonathan Benson, who has been testing tyres independently since 2007.
