Best Tyres for the SEAT Mii

These were fitted from new on seat Mii fr line. When new they are Ok for grip in dry and poor in the wet. Wear rate is high on such a small and light car which is only driven modestly and us never pushed. More of a concern is they started to crack within the tread pattern after only around 10 months from production. I think forr the money they are a poor quality tyre and I wouldn't buy again as they just don't measure up to the other tyres I have used in the past. My other car has Goodyear eagle vector 4 season tyres which are better in every way than the Bridgestone and I would highly recommend those without hesitation.

Put almost 10k on these, in autumn, winter, and early spring, they are great, wet grip is pretty damn good, and even pretty quiet in the wet, wet braking isn't the greatest either, but it is predictable, so you can compensate, dry grip is okay, that's about it, they aren't sketchy at autobahn speeds, and still really quiet, dry braking is again okay, in general they are an okay tyre, but their major weakness is in the warm, as they give up a bit too easily, so any vigorous driving will show they aren't a "fun" tyre, and are really easy to get screeching and get the ESP light flashing.

in snow and ice they are brilliant, I really tried to get the back end out, but they held pretty firm, with no ESP intervention, and that's without lowering the pressure, they even held firm driving like an idiot on a snow covered motorway, and they were that good, they did give a smug feeling when driving past people still on summers in snow and ice.

from my perspective they work better as a mild winter tyre than as an all season, but summer will tell how they hold up when ambient reaches 30-40c, i'm not holding out for decent results, although with my driving the amount of miles i do i'm expecting they'll need replacing before winter.

when i bought my car these were already fitted, and they wouldn't be my first choice as i'm a tyre snob, but they seem to grip fairly well in the dry spirited country drives aren't too bad, but in the wet they feel a little squirmy and make you want to back off, but their real downside is rolling resistance, as soon as you lift off the speed drops quickly, and as such you use a fair bit of fuel, even though my car weighs under a ton fully loaded.

Can't say much for wear although they had just over 1000 miles when i got the car, and done just about 4000 miles with them, and still a decent amount of tread left.

but definitely going to replace them with a well known brand, so i could at least trust the tyres my car has.

These came fitted to my SEAT Mii when new. They grip rather well in the dry and give assured cornering BUT they have a habit of flicking the car back to a straight line, as though they are underinflated (they are not) and they give very little feedback from the road - it isn't obvious when or whether they will slip. They seem quite soft so they are quite comfortable but their major drawback is NOISE. You would swear that the car was fitted with solid rubber as, even at low speeds, you can hear the rubber blocks flicking on the road surface. I have had Sportcontact 5 in the past and had to change those (for Avon VZ7s) just to be able to hear the radio! As one of the other reviewers has said I suspect brand snobbery is what sells these tyres. VW appear to part own Continental so perhaps that is why so many VW group cars have them fitted.
