The Landsail Winter Lander repeatedly performs much better in wet braking than on snow. In ADAC 2025 it placed fifth of 31 in both dry and wet asphalt braking and fourth on wet concrete, with gaps of 2.7%, 3.5% and 1.1% to the best respectively. Auto Bild's wet braking qualifiers also placed it in the upper half, including 15th of 50 in 2026 and 11th of 49 in 2021. Yet snow braking was last of 30 in Auto Bild 2026, 7.6% longer than the best, and last of 31 in ADAC 2025, with a 32.6% deficit.
That snow weakness is unusually consistent across sizes and years: Auto Bild ranked snow braking 30th of 32 in 2025, 31st of 33 in 2024 and 34th of 35 in 2021. ADAC also placed snow traction last and criticised very imprecise snow handling. The same test found weak steering feedback and a need for constant corrections on dry roads, despite the good stopping distances; wet handling and aquaplaning were less convincing than wet braking. Noise was relatively low at seventh of 31, while projected tread life was 21st at 51,000 km and abrasion 27th. ADAC placed it 23rd of 31 overall with a poor judgement, reflecting winter-road limitations that its braking strengths on clear roads could not offset.

The Landsail Winter Lander receives poor ratings on winter roads resulting in poor overall driving safety, with only adequate dry performance and narrowly missing good wet ratings, plus satisfactory environmental performance for a poor overall judgment. On dry roads, it shows barely adequate responsiveness and steering feedback with very imprecise handling requiring constant corrections, oversteering tendencies during dynamic maneuvers with adequate limit behavior, but good braking performance. On wet surfaces, it narrowly misses good overall ratings with good braking distances but only satisfactory aquaplaning resistance and handling due to moderate grip levels and the need for better force combination. In winter conditions, it receives poor ratings with poor snow braking and handling performance due to inadequate force combination resulting in very imprecise control and very low limits with early under/oversteering tendencies, though it achieves adequate snow traction and good ice braking. This Chinese-manufactured tyre receives satisfactory environmental ratings with barely satisfactory predicted mileage, low tyre wear, slightly elevated weight, but good fuel consumption.
