Our copy of the 2015 ACE winter tyre test is a little thin on details, but we thought it was important to publish as it tests many of the new winter tyres for 2015, in the popular 225/50 R17 tyre size.

Dispite being 3 years old, the Continental WinterContact TS850 narrowly beats the "new for 2015" Goodyear Ultragrip Performance Gen 1, Dunlop Winter Sport 5 and Nokian WR D4 with another impressive all round performance, but the competition is closer than ever, and any of the top 5 tyres would be a strong performer.

Please note, the "misc" score below covers rolling resistance, comfort and noise.
