Performance Analysis

Drawn from 8 tests. Updated October 29, 2026.

The BFGoodrich g Grip All Season 2 has shown more consistent strengths in snow braking and noise than in wet-road stopping or handling. It led snow braking in both the 2020 Sport Auto and Auto Bild full tests, placing second in snow handling in each. Testers repeatedly praised snow traction. Noise was lowest in the Sport Auto comparison and second lowest in Auto Bild, while rolling resistance was generally in the better half. Wet braking and handling were less competitive: both ranked eighth of nine in Sport Auto, while Auto Bild placed wet braking eleventh of sixteen and wet handling fourteenth.

There are important exceptions. Second of eleven in dry braking and third in wet handling in the 2017 Auto Zeitung all-season-versus-winter comparison were unusually favourable against the later road results, and came in a mixed seasonal field. Auto Bild also praised short dry braking in 2020, despite its measured thirteenth of sixteen placing. Wear and value changed sharply between its full tests: first for wear and second for cost per distance in 2017, but tenth of fourteen and twelfth of fourteen respectively in 2020. The earlier cost advantage is therefore not consistent. Snow handling also drew criticism in the 2017 Auto Zeitung test, despite its stronger 2020 results.
