The BEST Summer Tyres for 2026 Tested and Rated P9 of 12

The Debica Presto UHP2 finished 9th overall. It stood out for comfort and aquaplaning, with the highest subjective comfort score and the best curved aquaplaning result. Dry handling was also relatively strong for its finishing position, supported by a high subjective dry score, and my dry notes were very positive about steering response and adjustability. The weaknesses were in wet grip, where wet braking and subjective wet handling were in the lower half, and my wet notes describe very different cold versus warm behaviour, making it harder to predict in changing conditions.

Performance Analysis

Drawn from 7 tests. Updated March 13, 2026.

Across seven summer tyre tests, the Debica Presto UHP2 shows a recurring “mixed-bag” profile: it can be notably capable in aquaplaning resistance (especially curved aquaplaning) and can deliver strong comfort/noise results, but it tends to give away meaningful margin in wet braking versus the best tyres. Overall results swing from upper-mid pack to lower-mid pack depending on test size/field, with one standout high finish (4th of 16 in ADAC 2024) but several larger-field results around the middle or worse (e.g., 27th of 52 in 2025; 24th of 49 in 2020).

In dry conditions it is generally average-to-midpack (often within a few percent of the best in dry braking/handling), but in wet safety-critical stopping it is repeatedly among the weaker performers, frequently 8-21% longer than the best. Efficiency/value metrics are also inconsistent: rolling resistance and wear/abrasion tend to be mediocre to weak, limiting its all-rounder appeal despite the strong aquaplaning and comfort highlights.

2024 ADAC Summer Tyre Test

ADAC 215/55 R17

The Debica Presto UHP 2 is rated as good on dry roads but achieves only an average rating in wet conditions and overall driving safety. On dry roads, it provides just average steering feedback, making it challenging for drivers to immediately find the necessary steering angle for curves. However, its handling at the limit and braking distance are still rated as good, barely earning a good rating for dry performance. On wet roads, the Debica Presto UHP 2 does not surpass an average rating. While its aquaplaning resistance receives good marks, its braking performance and handling are deemed average. The tyre offers a moderate level of grip and satisfactorily combines longitudinal and lateral forces. In terms of environmental impact, the Presto UHP 2 narrowly misses a higher rating. Its projected mileage and wear are rated as nearly good. Additionally, its fuel consumption and low weight contribute to a good efficiency rating.
