Performance Analysis

Drawn from 8 tests. Updated October 28, 2026.

The Laufenn I Fit Plus generally performs better on snow than in standing water, although its overall record varies considerably by size and year. ADAC placed it seventh of 16 in 2021, praising snow and ice grip and low fuel consumption, but criticising dry performance and wear. Auto Bild found it sixth of 22 for snow traction in 2023 and second of 21 for snow handling in 2021. Aquaplaning is a recurring weakness: curved aquaplaning was last of 22 in Auto Bild 2021 and 21st of 22 in 2023, with weak wet handling in both tests.

Wet braking is less consistent, from eighth of 54 in the 2023 Auto Bild braking selection to 38th of 55 in 2024. Dry handling was fourth of 22 in Auto Bild 2021 but 19th of 22 in 2023, so the earlier result was unusually strong. Wear was 17th of 20 in both full tests; second of 20 in Auto Bild 2020 was an unusually favourable exception. That 2020 test also gave it the best cost per distance, despite 16th overall and weak wet braking. Testers repeatedly praised noise, while rolling resistance improved from 15th of 20 in 2020 to fourth of 22 in 2023. There is useful winter ability here, but neither wet-road performance nor longevity is consistently strong.
