Citroën DS4 Tyre Review Highlights

Driving on a combination of roads for 7000 average miles
in dry conditions i would say are average, nothing to shout about. But in wet are really dangerous! Grip is lost by a high margin, both braking and accelerating

Driving on mostly country roads for 6000 spirited miles
I bought these tyres in June 2022 and having only done 6,000 miles since then, the car failed its MOT due to tyres tread being too low. Not impressed at all as I am not a boy racer and other mid-range brands I have had on the car over the last 10 years, lasted for around 20,000 miles. My journey to work involves using country roads with steep inclines and descents, so this brand is clearly not up to the job,- Avoid!

Driving on a combination of roads for 15000 average miles
Honestly bought these tires last year and I must say I am very impressed by the wet handling. Here it rains very often and most of the time there are quite big puddles in the middle of the highway. Not once did I feel any uncertainty in the steering. Overall pretty impressed with the Tyre performance so far. Unfortunately have no overview of the wear yet, but hoping it’ll be above average

Writing about the Kleber Dynaxer UHP given 80% (225-45-18-)
Driving on mostly town for 3000 easy going miles
Fitted again Kleber to my Citroen DS4.Now the new UHP selected. Before i had the Kleber Dynaxer HP3 which were long lasting tyres but a bit noisy. Now the new UHP is closer to the original Michelin Pilot Sport 3. I have done few km with them but they seem to be nice tyres for a medium price. Very good for everyday city driving. Excellent at open roads!

Driving on mostly country roads for 5000 average miles
Good wet and dry grip, acceptable road noise, no comfort issues. However, wear is horrendous for a summer compound, being more than half in under 5k miles - admittedly on the front of a pocket rocket! The winter Michelin's lasted longer, so would only consider for low mileage vehicle where it's not worth putting on a tyre which could perish before it wore out.

Writing about the Continental Sport Contact 5 given 59% (225-45-18-W)
Driving on mostly country roads for 7000 average miles
I bought this premium range of tyres as I wanted a product that lasted for a decent mileage. My front tyres have done just 7000 miles and the MOT today flagged them up as close to the legal minimum. This is very disappointing and makes me wonder if Continental have some issue with production quality. The cheaper Hankook tyres I had on the front previously lasted for 15000 miles. Won't be buying Continental again

Got these tyres fitted to a Citroën ds4, and have used them for 7 months, in different weathers. In the dry , they are OK, if noisy. If it's wet, don't even think about going round a roundabout at faster than walking pace, you just slide out, massive under steer. Useless in the snow. Avoid these dangerous tyres.

Driving on mostly motorways for 0 spirited miles
This winter I have had these on all 4 wheels my Citroen DS4 and I'm surprised I've not had a major crash yet. If I hit water on the motorway between 70-80 mph the aqua plane and loss of control and feel is so frightening, tonight once again I lost the back end! at first I thought it must be me but it has happened so many times now that I'm going to remove them before I crash. Last year I had them only in the front and it did not seem to be so bad but this year it's a bargain I just can't afford to keep, a real shame as in the dry and at speed they behave quite well and a great price for a car like mine with oversized wheels.

Driving on a combination of roads for 8000 spirited miles
8 month ago I bought a DS4 which came with Michelin Pilot Sport SP2 fitted as standard. So far I have done around 8000 miles in the car, drove it to france and back. I was very impressed how the tyre holds the road in dry conditions, specially when the tyres were brand new. As the tyre wears off you can feel the difference in grip around corners, while straight acceleration is still great. However it does not perform so well in the wet. The wear of the tyre is generally good (compared to Toyo Proxes T1R).

Overall this tyre is a great option for the summer even though a bit pricy (around £250 per wheal).
