Long-Term Review: Ordered two of these back in December 2014, and fitted them to my X-Type Jag. They have lasted well, wearing evenly and 19,000 miles later - all on the front axle, still have 2-3mm of tread left. That's pretty good - particularly on a front-wheel drive car.

In terms of handling, fuel economy, noise etc. I experienced no noticeable difference over other tyre brands fitted (I have owned the car since new and covered 96000 miles over the last 10 Years).

The original Pirelli's had a tendancy to 'tram-line' on some road surfaces and lasted 13-15K (font axle) before wearing out, so they are not worth the premium price.

Over the Years, I subsequently fitted Continental, Avon and Hankook tyres - all of which were good mid-range priced tyres, lasting around 13-15K.

So, I have just ordered another set of 4 Sailun's: In summary they appear slightly more durable than the other makes I have tried, have similar handling / refinement characteristics, and are very good overall value. It is easy therefore to recommend them.

Performance is just about acceptable. The tyre noise transmitted to the interior is appalling for tyres which were standard factory fitment, to the point where we considered selling the car. Conversation was impossible at the UK motorway legal limit. Driving off the ferry at Calais was a revelation and the interior noise had totally disappeared, only to re-appear at Dover on our return. We will never fit Pirellis again.

These were fitted to the back wheels when I bought my X-Type Jag, and I'm not thrilled. The dry handling is acceptable despite a gut feeling of about-to-lose-it from the back end, but the wet handling is awful. At the slightest fast bend, you get the feeling they're not gripping well, and only careful driving is making sure they do hold. As it's quite a hefty car, that means that I find they are not up to the job, and will have to go - which is a pity, as they've got lots of tread left. I will not be getting them again!

Bought 2 Michelin Primacy HP at 14,517 miles for my 2009 X Type 2.2 saloon; replacing the original Pirellis. At the first MOT at 27,699 miles I got the following report: "Tyre worn close to the legal limit" for both new tyres. My driving style is not aggressive and consists of 50% town and 50% motorway so just over 13,000 miles from the Michelins was not what I had expected and is very disappointing.

I have had them on my X Type Jag since I purchased at 18,000miles and just having to replace them on the front at ~50,000 miles.

Much of my milage it motorway but having experienced these I wouldn't go for anything else.

Love these on my Jaguar 2.2 Diesel Estate. Pirelli P-Zeros before were OK but expensive and no kerb protection. The Avons will keep your wheels safe. Road noise is good though some noise on some odd surfaces. And they have been great in the winter despite appalling conditions. One of my other cars has got Nokian winter tyres on, but the Jag goes almost everywhere they go, except ice.
