Whilst these tyre do produce a fair amount of road surface noise, they make up for it by providing outstanding grip in the dry, wet, ice and snow. Have driven over 250000 miles on this tyre over the last 10 years and have always felt the car was stuck to the road.

Fitment comes from each tyre's manufactured size list, and the sizes are the ones drivers reported when they reviewed. Check the size, load index and speed rating on your own doorplate before buying - a size a previous owner ran is not always the size your car left the factory on.

What Volvo XC70 drivers say
The most recent owner reviews from this car, in their own words.
Moving from cheap budget offerings as fitted when I bought the car (Volvo XC70 P3 D5 AWD 235/50/18) and fitting a set of these, the difference has been remarkable. Quieter, smoother, grippier, consistent performance in all circumstances. Even on a diesel spill on a wet roundabout, the combination of decent tyres and clever electronic devices helped me stay on the road. Cheaper tyres wouldn't have done that. The car was designed for these tyres. Simply put, the best decision I made about keeping myself and others safe.
These tyres have exceeded my expectations both in performance and mileage. From new to bald they have been confidence inspiring and have keep the car composed. A bit soft in corners but still responses fine
I cut one hankook kinergy 4s2 and had to buy what was offered. I took two Pirellis and put them in the front and put two old Hankooks in the back. I immediately noticed better handling in the dry and significantly quieter tires. Directly in the snow, they proved the same to me. What I noticed is that Pirelli has an initial new tread depth of 6.5mm while Hankook comes with 8mm.
I had them for one season, received with the car quite old dot 2017. for 4 months of winter they were ok. There was no snow, so I can't give an impression. the tires were then already 6 years old and had a lot of cracks on the side, but the tire was over 6mm.
These tires came with the car. The tires were pretty good when newer, but as they got older they started getting out of round and made the car bob up and down, this is reflected on the comfort score. I feel they were also more prone to hydroplaning. I had to retire them early because the tread delaminated so I could see the cords. Disappointed how fast they wore out during the summer. I did check alignment once a year. I will give them a little leniency because they were quite old by the time this happened. Primarily highway use. Tires were rotated twice yearly.
Ive towed cars out of muddy fields with these tyres - bit more difficult when worn down.
Good stability at motorway speeds - but they dont have the ultimate grip of the new all season tyres - the design came out in 2009!! and hasn't been changed so pretty impressive .
As I use them on small roads with very rough edges and have to avoid tractors and lorries they are confidence inspiring that they won't damage easily.
Highway they are a bit noisy compared to the cross climate 2 and certainly not as fuel efficient. but for poor road surfaces and some light off roading they are really good with strong sidewalls. cannot get my size now so will have to either change wheels or goto another tyre type.
Only crossover I've ever driven and no other experience with tires on the car so hard to gauge much of the scores. They don't have a score specifically for hydroplaning. Figured an AWD crossover would handle hydroplaning better. Seemed to take longer to recover than I would have expected.
They are cracked on the side from age, since the DOT number says they are from 2017. The depth of the saree was about 6mm.
