285/35 22 Tyre Review Highlights

Linglong Green Max rated 24% while driving a
Driving on mostly motorways for 1200 easy going miles
The tread of the tires is not straight. This causes enormous vibrations on the car, this from 115km/h.
You should not expect service from Ling long.
Cheap junk.
Never again.

Nankang Sportnex AS2 Plus rated 60% while driving a Land Rover Range Rover Sport
Driving on mostly motorways for 4000 easy going miles
I was loving these tyres until I noticed that after 8 months use and 4000 easy miles the rears were way beyond the legal limit. There was really no tread left at all. They are seemingly far too soft for a heavy car such as a Range Rover Sport although these were XL 106Y rated. Have lost all faith in these tyres. I would never use them again.

Pace ALVENTI Pace rated 80% while driving a Audi SQ7
Driving on mostly town for 5000 easy going miles
At half the price of its nearest competitors, Michelin, Pirelli, Hancook etc, these tyres are great value for money. The normal wear out of the premium brands is lucky to be 20,000, so tyres were the biggest running costs, (other than fuel) I will be buying these again. Even if they last the same 20,000, im still in front, with money in my pocket.

Rapid p609 rated 40% while driving a Land Rover Range Rover V8 Vogue
Driving on mostly country roads for 100 easy going miles
Bought a Range Rover TDV8 with a new set of these fitted all round. When buying a used car a good indicator of a well maintained vehicle is the quality of the tyres…cheap tyres usually means cheap parts / missed services / etc. but it turned out the dealer fitted them due to worn rubber fitted and most people don’t pay much attention to tyres other than tread depth.

Moving on, I have only driven 100 miles on the tyres and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised on the dry drive home. Best part of 3T of car was well handled by these cheap tyres, but the following day it rained and I found out that Rapid is how it lets go on the merest of corners at a steady speed.

As for wet braking, put it this way, you could have got a cruise liner in between me the car in front. The “safe” distance I felt I had to keep from the car in front was similar to the distance require driving a semi-slick summer tyre on ice.

Needles to say, I am Rapidly looking at replacing this carpet underlay rubber as sooner as a safe tyre comes into stock at the local garage.

TLDR - Avoid these absolute garbage tyres!

Landsail LS588 UHP rated 84% while driving a Porsche Cayenne 3.0 Diesel
Driving on a combination of roads for 8000 average miles
Replaced Pirelli pzeros with landsail ls588 UHP car felt immediately better to drive handling more precise on dry and wet roads. Stopping distance was excellent on dry and wet road. Noise levels were very acceptable for such a large tyre. 8000 miles just ove half worn. Brought 4 tyres for £500 instead of £1300 for the Pirellis.

Landsail LS588 UHP rated 84% while driving a Porsche Cayenne 3.0 Diesel
Driving on mostly town for 15000 spirited miles
Replaced 4 tyres with landsail LS588 previously had Pirelli these are better in every way and a quarter of the price. Wear is a little more but does it matter at there price point.

Hankook Ventus S1 evo2 SUV rated 81% while driving a Audi Q7
Driving on a combination of roads for 10000 average miles
For the price these are a great tyre, fitter was surprised they were Audi original equipment but they are a good tyre in the dry and the wet, manage to keep my Q7 safe on the road without complaining. They are not very good in snow but they don’t claim to be and are a summer tyre. Massive rim protector too which is a bonus with 22s. At around £100 a corner cheaper than the big names, I cannot fault these.

Hankook Ventus ST rated 87% while driving a Porsche Cayenne Turbo
Driving on a combination of roads for 16000 spirited miles
Great tyre, lasted far longer than any other tyre I’ve used by over twice the mileage. Grip in both wet and dry is very good. Wear is even. Well balanced at high speed, have done 150+ (German autobahn) with no wobble or vibration. Would definitely recommend and use again!
Tyres are down to about 3mm on the front and 4mm at the rear. Tyres are fitted to a 4wd 510bhp SUV. I have found you need to shop around for the best deal as the price of these tyres can vary radically between retailers. I got mine at £160/tyre fitted and balanced.

Hankook Ventus S1 evo2 SUV rated 80% while driving a Audi Q7
Driving on mostly motorways for 26000 average miles
26.000 miles and still enough on all 4 tyres to do another 4300 miles, The tyres came on a newly bought audi.
to my great surprise the tyres a very comfortable, little road noise even not on cobblestone, good grip in rainy weather and enough grip when dry to keep up the pace. Wear &tear much better then expected. will buy this tyre again.

Fullway HP 108 rated 49% while driving a Land Rover Range Rover Sport
Driving on mostly motorways for 0 easy going miles
Found these tyres to be noisy on the road and a little lumpy. I recently had all four tyres balanced, when on the machine u could see them going up and down. Well i've learned something again ... pay cheap prices and receive rubbish.

Sunitrac Focus 9000 rated 89% while driving a BMW X5 3.0d Sport
Driving on mostly country roads for 5000 spirited miles
Purchased BMWX5 twin turbo car with Sunitrak 9000 tyres and found them to be excellent all round tyres, all of this bulls hit about Chinese tyres is utter nonsense they perform brilliantly I can only assume large Name tyre manufacturers are spreading bad reviews are purely trying to retain their stranglehold on the uk and us markets. Will certainly buy again.
