Performance Analysis

Drawn from 4 tests. Updated October 29, 2026.

The Radar RPX800 repeatedly trails most rivals in dry braking and has weak aquaplaning results. Auto Bild ranked dry braking 39th of 53 in 2021 and 52nd of 55 in its 2024 summer overview, with stopping distances 12.6% and 13.6% longer than the best. ADAC in 2023 put dry braking 44th of 50 and curved aquaplaning 45th of 50. It finished 43rd overall in that test, with predicted mileage of 27,100 km ranking 46th and abrasion 48th of 50. Noise was the main positive, fourth of 50 at 69.9 dB.

Wet braking is unusually variable. It was 19th of 53 in the 2021 Auto Bild comparison and 19th of 50 on ADAC's main wet surface in 2023, but only 40th of 55 in the 2024 Auto Bild test, 29.1% longer than the best. The 2019 Swedish test by Test World praised short wet stopping when cold, yet the main wet-braking result was 12th of 13. Its subjective wet handling was also 12th, with poor dry and wet handling noted by the testers. These results distinguish a limited cold-wet braking positive from broader wet-road performance. Straight aquaplaning was weak in both the 2019 and 2023 tests, so quietness is better supported than resistance to standing water.
