Volvo XC90 D5 (163bhp) Tyre Review Highlights
Modified Volvo XC90, so this may affect perception (lifted 30mm front & rear, ET27 8x18 alloys instead of stock ET49 7x18, meaning increased scrub radius and edge wear). Very good control of the boat (sic), sidewalls softer than average, tyre just looks better than same size winters, compliant, comfortable, and silent ride. Each spring was a relief fitting them back on after months with rigid and loud Hankook winters (never again). Inflated properly, and with wheel alignment in order, wear on these Falkens is quite decent, too, total life maybe 25k on this vehicle but this is (was) a 2.5 ton modified pile of iron driven ruthlessly (hours of 100mph on German Autobahn each way, on bad roads / among worse motorists in Europe, sometimes in 38 deg C, etc).

I have these Tyres on my Volvo XC90 and they are fantastic super grip in the wet and dry low noise and they hardly ever wear. Even driving in deep snow they never got stuck I've just ordered a new set for the back in very fussy when it comes to Tyres and it's hard to find a set your happy with but I love these

Wet or dry, the grip from these is terrible. I kept them on from November to May before I decided to swap them for the usual Pirelli tyre on my XC90 even though there was still 5-6 mm on them. I feel these were not suitable for those who want to survive an emergency stop.
They're quiet and the sidewalls are soft so the ride was great, they soaked up bumps very well. But they had to go.

I have these tyres fitted on my Volvo XC90 . The only problem I had was caused by bad fitting of the tyres by the garage who failed to clean the alloy wheels before fitting them. This resulted in the tyres constantly deflating, took it back to the garage, cleaned the wheels up refitted the tyres perfect. Never had any problems with grip in either the wet or dry conditions , I do a lot of business miles up in the north east which frequently means wet weather , tyres have performed very well under emergency braking on both occasions I needed to . They are not the quietest tyres I have ever had but certainly no complaints from me. I am about to have my winter tyres taken off and will be fitting two more new ones on the front next week.

Had these on all four corners of my Volvo XC90 for 6 years so gone few a few sets. These have been great. They are a tad noisier than the scorpions but I can't hunk per £ they are much better. I've used General Grabbers and in my opinion the Accellera iota are better. I had 5 new tyres fitted for £72 each corner. Bargain. As for the chap who said that he replied these after a week... You must have more money than sense!
These are great tyres on the Volvo.

13,300 and the front left if 80% worn, front right not too far behind. Rears appear in a better shape. Not great in the wet.
Will not be purchasing these again.

14000 miles and down to 4mm. I am a carefull driver and can at least double this mileage on a set of tyres and these are ready for changing. already done the front to back change for excessive shoulder wear and now I am getting cracking in the walls. These are OEM fitted and I have had the vehicle from new. Do not touch them with a 10 ft barge pole. As for tram-lining, you would not believe it.

Not had these long but already they are much better than the Conties that they have replaced. From new the grip has improved on the Conties.

These tyres are terrible at my car. The car is very unstable when I go beyond 60 km/h if there is any tracks in the road. I'll change thwm before next winter season, even if the are almost brand new.
