275/45 19 Tyre Review Highlights

Davanti DX640 rated 94% while driving a Mercedes Benz W221 S350 Long
Driving on a combination of roads for 17000 average miles
I reviewed these tires when I first had them at 1000 miles and now the car has done 17000 miles on these tires I can only state they are good very good after 17000 miles the tires still have 5+ mill in them they started off at 7.2mm tread depth and now the 4 tires are 5.52mm 5.61mm 5.36mm 5.48mm that's under 2mm used in 17000 miles The Davanti DX640s are good value and long lasting to say the least. My setup is 245 45 19 front and 275 45 19 rear the usual staggered set for a S Class weighing in at 2,270KG kerb weight empty mine is heavier as it has the fridge and all other extras.

Mayrun MR500 rated 97% while driving a Ford Mustang gt
Driving on a combination of roads for 20000 spirited miles
I have MR500's on my Mustang GT, I usually have had to replace rears at least every couple seasons especially with Pirelli's as they are the worst for wear in my opinion. These tires are amazing as far as I am concerned and you can't beat the price!!! I will buy them over and over again!

Falken Azenis FK510 rated 87% while driving a Jaguar XJ (X351) SWB 3.0d
Driving on mostly country roads for 1500 spirited miles
I have just changed from nexen nfera which I thought were pretty good but these new falkerns are just brilliant. 4 weeks in and I've been doing 100 Miles a day in wet heavy rain and slippery roads (same journey every day) so I can see a huge difference in the car, much better grip in dry and especially in wet, less body roll so much more confidence wen taking bends.

Evergreen Winter EW66 rated 89% while driving a BMW 340 m sport
Driving on a combination of roads for 24000 spirited miles
I installed 19 inch and tight profile but its amazing. Best one Michelin alpine 5 second one this tire. I did not stack anywhere and i did not get any problem. Just one thing should be better ice performance. Its not bad but should be better

Michelin Latitude Sport 3 rated 83% while driving a Volkswagen TOUAREG V6 TDI
Driving on mostly motorways for 7000 spirited miles
I'm not too sure what to expect tyre wear wise regarding my VW Tourag 2008 3.0 V6 TDI I have only had it 7 months. Had these tires fitted 6 months ago and had a full tracking and alignment check and adjustment..
We have just covered 8,000 miles on them and the rears are approaching 3mm rapidly, fronts are 5mm.
Tyre wear is even across the axles. No inner or outer wear.
That said the performance of these tires in the dry and wet is just amazing. Its just the £700 a set for I reckon 9500-10,000 miles is worrying. But may be this is the norm.

Good tire, but wear out too fast.

Hifly HF805 rated 51% while driving a BMW 530D M sport
Driving on mostly country roads for 1000 average miles
Very disappointed with these tyres, especially with reading all the reviews. They are good in the wet and the dry, much more comfortable than the run flat Bridgestone I replaced, however the wear on them is shocking. Most tyres come with min of 8mm of tread. I measured these on day one at 7mm. I have driven a maximum of 1000 and I am now down to 5.6mm on the rear and 6mm on the front. Can this be right? Would buy premium tyres next time, Sure they cost twice the price, but hey last more than twice as long with better performance. Never gain

Accelera Iota rated 80% while driving a Volkswagen TOUAREG V6 TDI
Driving on a combination of roads for 20000 spirited miles
Just replaced a set of these with the same again. VW Touareg V6 and over 2 tonnes. What a great tyre for the money (£70 each including fitting) Ignore the stupid ill informed warnings. These tyres are excellent in all regards and for the price I haven't found anything to compare. They don't wear as well as some others in terms of longevity, but retain good handling and grip right down to the point when they need changing. I found them to be quiet and on a heavy 4x4 seem very well suited. If you drive so erratically as to loose control with these fitted, you must be a complete loon! Would recommend without hesitation.

Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta rated 83% while driving a BMW 650ci
Driving on a combination of roads for 5000 spirited miles
All I can say is wow! I bought the tyres 6 months ago due to an article I saw on this site. I very very pleased with their performance. I drive fast all the time (spirited doesn’t quite describe how I drive) and the 650i is a heavy car and when I bought the care it had Pirelli’s on which were not doing the car any justice and furthermore were useless in the wet! I read a few articles on the Ultrac’s and decided to take the plunge it was well worth it!

Good points!
• The handling was vastly improved in cornering and drag pull off.
• Wet handling is notably different.
• Reduced road noise.

Bad points.
• When new you need at least 200+ miles ware-in prior to any heroics (avoid this warning at your peril), I know it's a standard rule for any new tyre, but I would take extra caution with these tyres.
• Warm up is also necessary for normal everyday driving (5 or so miles).

I would recommend these to anyone with a rear wheel drive car the 275/45/19 cost £420 and I’ve had literary every mid-range German sportscar there is, from M3’s (e36-E46), S4,S6, A8 3.8 (mk2), 530i sport, Clk55, 840ci the list goes on and I’ve tried most tires… the Ultrac’s are by a significant margin the best for my style of driving.

Toyo Proxes ST rated 91% while driving a Volkswagen Touareg
Driving on mostly town for 12500 average miles
After using the premium brands, Conti, Bridge, Pir, I tried Toyo Proxes ST, WOW managed approx. 12500miles on front set and 15000miles on rears normally get between 8-10k on others, always even tyre wear and good rim protector on Toyo Proxes ST . Yes spirited driving some times, not always, due to tyre and fuel prices. Would buy again.

Pirelli PZero Rosso rated 86% while driving a Mercedes Benz CLS 500
Driving on mostly motorways for 15000 spirited miles
I ditched Continentals for the P-zeros (MBO)after delamination.

I regularly drive at above 140mph and cannot afford anything but best safety.

15,000 m/yr Germany commute.
