Driving on mostly town for 4500 average miles
This is the update review from my initial one that I posted on April 30th 2025.
Now after almost 5000 miles (7500km) I can provide a more confident insight in the performance of these tyres. I still state that these are the most comfortable summer tires that I have ever driven. Performance-wise I cannot be more satisfied than this.
The tyres are as quiet now as they were at the beginning. I can only hear the wind at the highway drive, and not the wheels rolling. A big plus from me!!

I am not a sporty driver, so car handling was never an issue.Cornering, braking, grip - all very well balanced, both dry and wet. Even though road imperfections are well mitigated I've noticed in exactly 2 occasions I had my front wheels touch the edge of a road rut and I felt my steering wheel trying to pull to the side. It was not dramatical or anything dangerous, but I have never felt it with my car before. I checked the car's suspension and it all seems to be OK, so it must be from the "softness" of the tyres. That is why I graded 8 on "Road Feedback"

From the wear and tear perspective, I am happy with that one too. The rubber is on the softer side of the scale, but I am so happy with the tyres, that I do not care if they wear down quicker than the competition. I will definitely buy them again when time comes. An excellent tyre for a regular/moderate daily driver that respects a quiet and comfortable ride.

Driving on mostly town for 300 average miles
After driving premium summer tyres for years and on various vehicles, I was a bit concerned purchasing and fitting the Roadhawks 2 on a heavy SUV such as XC90. My previous summer tyres were Good Year Eagle F1s and I was so and so satisfied with them. They felt a little loose and the feedback was not to my taste. It's been a long winter this year and a long drive on my Nokian WR SUV4s that are firm, heavy, noisy but sturdy and reliable.
Fitting the Firestones - wow!! The comfort, the quiet ride, the response and the dry grip is overwhelming ( to what I was expecting ). I am very pleased with how they perform in the initial phase ( just a few hundred miles in town ). WIll take them out on a motorway for the weekend, and I just can't wait. I imagine that they are half the noise of the Nokians.

The only potential concern will be the wear. I'll watch it closely and report the outcome. All in all, very content with the tires so far.

Driving on mostly motorways for 5000 spirited miles
I live in Vancouver, BC, and drive to the Whistler ski resort quite often. Most of the time, the roads are wet or slushy, we pretty much don't get ice or compacted snow. It is not easy to find good tyres for these conditions - often winter tyres struggle with traction on wet cold asphalt or slush.

The Pilot Alpin 5 SUV have been incredible. They have so much traction, I feel like I can throw my heavy SUV around at speeds I wouldn't dare with previous tyres. I am very happy, these tyres have more grip than the summer tyres the car came with.

All four tyres developed cracks in between the tread after just three year and less than 10k miles.
Avoid.

Driving on mostly town for 20000 spirited miles
Have run these tyres for three years and they have almost reached 20000 miles, mainly town driving. Depending on the road surface they can be noisy but generally are pretty quiet. I noticed some feathering on the outer rims at about 15000 miles but I understand that this can be quite common on some Touaregs. My main reason for buying these tyres was their expected longevity and I have not been disappointed. I consider 20000 to be good wear from a tyre, particularly considering the weight of the Touareg. I am due to change the rear tyres soon and may stick with the Goodyear but might give the Uniroyal Rainsport a try as they seem to be a very competitive price just now.

For this size, th201 maybe is the cheapest performance tire, only 500 yuan (around 65 euros) each, but the performance is not very much behind those expensive tires I used before, such as Goodyear F1 Asymmetric SUV and Michelin LS3. Very recommend if you can buy it at this price.

Just shy of 20,000 miles in on this set. I believe this is the review a lot of you are looking for. Right out of the box, these are not the best for wet conditions. Hydroplane very easily. That said, in dry, they are great tires, no additional road noise from new is great! I did have one tire break a belt/band and go out of round, so I am replacing these with new tires. I should say I am relieved to be replacing these. This winter was not fun. These perform very poorly in snow and ice and I have all wheel drive. So yes, this is an ALL SEASON, sure, BUT ALL WEATHER, absolutely not.

Great handling superb comfort and excellent wear, these are the main assets of the assymetrics, although on the down side theres noise, they are quite succeptible to the highway different compounds , they can go from zero sound to a loud sound on a different compound , of course all tyres are succeptible to this althouh these seem to be moodier to these changes. but thats my only critisism ... on the other side you can feel how much precise the car is and the handling it will not depend on the tyre anymore, iltll depend on the car chasis to match the tyre performance.

Absolute rubbish for Touareg, DONT FIT. THIS ON A TOUREG. Hardly 17 000 kms done, Worn- out mainly driving in city at 60 km/h 25% on long distance trips on tar, at 130km/h. Good tyre for handling, but getting only 17000km, tyre should be 50% of cost of Pirelli Scorpios that lasted 38 000km

These tyres frightened me! On two separate occasions the completely ‘let go’ and aquaplaned on a UK motorway. There was some standing water but I was travelling at the same speed or less with other vehicles. On A Roads, hitting a puddle on one side invariably results in significant deviation from straight ahead. I previously had Falken Wildpeak - excellent in the wet and Pirelli Scorpion - satisfactory in the wet. I have no confidence in the Continental (as currently have around 6mm of tread) so will change ASAP.
