Below are the 165/70 R14 results from the European ADAC tyre test.

As usual with ADAC tests, the results are based on pure data with no subjective scoring included. The tests are weighted in favour of wet performance, which is awarded 40% of the overall score. 20% of the overall result is given to the dry weather tests, 10% of the weighting is based on how noisy / comfortable the tyres are, a further 10% is based on the rolling resistance of the tyre and 20% of the overall result is based on the wear. Please note this can affect our totalling, so it's best to study the individual category scores to help you chose a tyre based on performance qualities you find important.

It's worth noting that the worth tyre in this test, the Infinity INF030, actually had the best wear scores, but was commented as being dangerous in the wet, further proving tyres are a balance of different performance criteria and budget tyres struggle to provide a good balance.
