Given 97% while driving a Ford Focus RS (235/35 R19 W) on a combination of roads for 5,000 average miles
I have run these on other cars before the Mk2 Focus RS (Volvo V70 D5 / MINI Cooper S) and my expereinces have always been the same: Good wear rates, good dry weather grip, so noise and a good ride. The most striking difference between these and any other tyres I've used is their resistance to panic attacks when hitting deep standing water at motorway speeds! Highly recommended.

Given 87% while driving a Skoda Octavia (225/55 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 20,000 spirited miles
Having covered 112k km (70k miles) over about 3.5 years I've just ordered my 4th set of ZZ3's which kinda says it all in terms of how satisfied I am with these tyres. A fair bit of my driving is on twisty French country lanes so the tyres take a good bit of stick but have yet to disappoint and wear has averaged out at around 36k km (20k miles)but that's conservative as I never run my tyres right down to the wear markers and usually change at around 3mm or so. The current set have done better with perhaps another 5-7k miles left but having suffered a non repairable puncture I've decided to replace all 4 early rather than have such varying tread depths, the price of £55.76 apiece (Camskill) makes it a viable and not too painful solution. A highly recommended tyre. I don't make a habit of exploring the limits BTW hence the nominal 5 score in that category.

Given 97% while driving a Saab Automobile 9 3 se turbo 185 bhp (225/45 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 80,000 spirited miles
I have had 3 full sets of ZZ3's on my 9-3 2.0 ltr turbo. Each set has lasted approximately 20-25,000 miles. I have driven them at all speeds and in all conditions. I highly recommend them. The wear on them is phenomenal. I drive sensibly most of the time, with the occasional let loose stretching of the gearbox!! I can tell you they are very good at 145mph! They are the best all round tyre I have come across. Value for money wise, at £76 a tyre delivered and £10 to fit, I havent found a better performing tyre for the money. I honestly believe that anyone who has had a negative experience with them, either cant drive or has a lead foot, or both. Buy with confidence. I get mine from camskill and have them fitted locally.

Very good tyres, ride a bit harsh but otherwise great!

Given 87% while driving a Vauxhall Insignia CDTI 160 (245/45 R18 V) on a combination of roads for 10 average miles
On the ECOflex estate, my Bridgestone OE tyres lasted 33,000 km, but suffered from road noise. I decided to buy Avon ZZ3 tyres on the basis that they are British and mid price range. I've done 16,000 km on them (they are less than 1/2 worn, so expect the same mileage) and must say I'm very happy with them, the road noise being much reduced, and to my (limited)knowledge, no different in performance to the Bridgestone.

Given 50% while driving a Saab Automobile 9 3 Aero HOT (235/35 R19) on mostly country roads for 9,000 spirited miles
Good dry grip but wet grip is almost as bad as the wear rate. Had these tyres fitted about 9000 miles ago and they are already toast!! I will admit I am a spirited driver but never had a problem with previously fitted Falken FK452's which offer far greater wet grip. On the up side the tyre gives reasonable feedback and gives plenty of warning before they let go (In the dry that is). Will massively understeer and spin up in the wet on a powerful FWD car. Will be fitting Falken FK 452's again as they are a much better all round tyre and fractionally cheaper.

Given 74% while driving a Honda Civic (225/45 R17 W) on mostly motorways for 14,000 easy going miles
These tyres lasted 14,000 miles on my Civic 2.2 TDI EX. They would have lasted longer I think if my tracking hadn't been so far out - maybe up to 16,000. I'm a conservative driver, no mad cornering or speeds.

Given 79% while driving a Peugeot 207 GT HDi (205/45 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 10,000 average miles
Seems to be as grippy as Pirelli P Zeros, wet or dry, plus quieter and give better fuel consumption. My first 207 HDi GT had P Zeros which I changed to ZZ3's, and I will do the same on this one. As an added bonus, they are much cheaper!

Given 76% while driving a BMW (225/45 R17) on mostly country roads for 14,000 spirited miles
Fitted 225 & 255 to my BMW 323ci about 14000 miles ago. I asked at the time how many miles roughly I'd get out of them. The man says 'no one has got more than 14000 out of them'.

Wet grip is excellent, never had it aqua plane unless at more than 60 on a (narrow country road) pool of standing water. quiet, and you can push them when they are lean and they always have grip. however, I seem to be now at that 14000 mile point. although there is still tread, they have understeer and the car will go wide.
They were excellent in the snow a year ago (when new) but far less so thisyear.

Maybe driving on smooth roads you get more miles for your buck. Would I buy them again, highly likely.

Given 80% while driving a Hyundai coupe 2.7 V6 (215/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 12,000 spirited miles
I've had two sets of ZZ3s on my V6 2.7 Coupe. These tire don't grip so well cold. There is a noticable drop off on cold mornings but once warm they offer excellent traction ( probaly the best ) Wet handling is good and breaking wet and dry is good. The downside is road noise and wear. I have Verdestine Ultrac tyres now and they have done double the milage of ZZ3s.

Given 79% while driving a Mercedes Benz (255/35 R18) on a combination of roads for 1,500 average miles
Recently replaced some P Zero's with these (225/40's front and 255/35's rear on a Merc CLK) and am pleasantly surprised. The P Zeros were far from worn out but were very poor on wet/icy roads and gave almost no feedback which was at times, almost scary (particularly in the recent bad weather. A full replacement set of the same would have cost me £900+ so the ZZ3's at £480 all in represented a major cost saving.

I have only done around 1500 miles on them so far but am very pleased with the hushed progress and stable feel in all conditions.

I used ZZ3s on my previous C Class and found them excellent then so had no qualms about buying more. Totally different profile of tyre on my CLK but they look and feel great. I will of course be interested to see what wear I get from them but I doubt the P Zeros would have justified the extra 70-80% cost in that way either.

Given 97% while driving a Renault Megane (225/45 R18 W) on mostly town for 20,000 spirited miles
Avon ZZ3 tyres were fitted to my car from the previous owner, covered around 20,000 miles with these tyres and found them to be much better than Bridgestones which I had on all my other cars. I would definately reccommend these tyres to anyone who drives a high performance car, my RS is light weight and the Avon ZZ3's are well suited to this car. Ive just replaced all 4 the other day as the rears had gone down to 5mm, which in most cases you would'nt change. I trust the Avon ZZ3 tyres and will buy again without a doubt, if you want some safe rubber to stop your performance car in the wet and dry you won't go wrong with these and the price is good too for a mid range tyre.
