MINI Cooper Tyre Review Highlights
Writing about the i-Link L Grip 55 given 37% (175-65-15)
I've just bought a 2014 Mini Cooper with these tyres. Was going to upgrade immediately to Michelin Primacy 4 but on inspection found them barely worn.
Have decided to keep them for the moment.
The Mini actually corners faster in the wet than any car I've owned in the dry except a Leon Cupra on Goodyear F1 Assymetrics that I love but aren't available for 15" wheels. I think though that this is in spite of the thres not because of them. What I don't like is that there is no feedback and the steering feels dead which takes away the Mini fun. I have no idea what the tyres are doing until the car starts to run wide.
I also find that I am all the time making small corrections to drive in a straight line.
Will upgrade to the Michelins soon but must first replace some Autogrips on the front of my wife's Ford Ka with Falken ZE310. Absurd that my 50+ year old Triumph Herald with 145/13 Falken SN832 has more grip in the wet.

Writing about the Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2 given 88% (205-45-17)
I can't fathom how some reviewers have commented on low tread life. Baffled. These were the OEM tyres on a 1.5 MINI Cooper, and 40500 miles (!!) on, and pushing 5 years, they've still got ~2.8mm left on the front tyres (rears pretty much exactly the same as when new). And if I recall correctly, they only had a touch over 6mm when new. So that's about 3.2 ish mm wear in over 40K miles! Astonishing longevity. That's with no tyre rotation, FWD car.

Bought a Mini with these tyres fitted. Very very disappointed . They still have 4 - 5 mm tread. however the side walls are cracking. Along with cracks between the treads. Contacted Dunlop direct. Very pleasant chat. however they will not look at any goodwill gesture towards replacing tyres . Have had similar problems on another car . This was fitted with Nexen tyres that were cracking on the shoulders. They have supplied new tyres . They offer lifetime guarantee .Looks as if my Mini will be getting some Nexen tyres fitted. So disappointed with Dunlop tyres.

Just a great tyre for my 18-year-old's car. I trust them. I will be buying them again when needed.

I had these tyres on the Mini for some time and they have been very confident and competent. Given that they are a ten year old design and the tyre is still so competent, I wonder if Dunlop has improved them quietly over the years as they are very widely available at BMW/Mini dealerships still. So after hitting the biggest pot hole in the world and broke the springs and many things, the dealer had to replace my front tyres as well. They recommended the starred (bmw fitment) Dunlop Sport Maxx RT again and even though I could have got the supreme Michelin Pilot Sport 5 for a much cheaper price outside a dealership, I agreed with the dealer and chose the Dunlop again. That is how highly I rate these tyres after years of driving with them and the Dunlops are phenominal at dealing with aquaplaning!

Writing about the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen 3 given 79% (175-65-15-)
Driving on mostly country roads for 2000 average miles
Have used the original Vector 4, the Gen 2 and now these Gen 3's on various cars over the years, and they have always been very good in the cold and wet. However, these Gen 3 are probably the best yet when it gets warm and dry, with improved breaking in these conditions.
Unfortunately though they don't seem to suit our current Mini F56 hatch, due to the persistent and noticeable tyre roar. Not sure if its down to our current model of car, or the new design of the Gen 3, but they are certainly nosier than the previous Vector 4 tread patterns, which I've used on other small sized cars with similar sized tyres.

I am very impressed with the falken ecorun. they respond very well dry grip buit also in wet grip. I dont have anything to reproach so far. The Confort is amazing. I can barely hear then. I have michellin sport 4 for winter and they are a lot noisier. And the price was really good, around 95 euro/ tyre. I really recomand and probably I would buy again in the future.

Writing about the Davanti DX390 given 51% (195-55-16-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 300 average miles
I was looking for all season tyres, but local tyre place said it would be 2- 3 weeks to get them,, so he recommended these Diavanti DX390`s. Told me they are a summer tyre really, but are overall very good, well I have driven about 300 miles on them, and they are not good at all. £75.00 each isn`t cheap either, I have noticed a lot have cars have this brand of tyre, so maybe dealers are getting a good mark up to sell them, that`s the only reason I can think of to promote them. They are rubbish, and I have had a few nasty moments with them already in light rain at around 50mph, the grip is okay at first, then suddenly just lets go. I am going back to tyre depot tomorrow to complain, because these tyres are rubbish and actually I think they are dangerous. They are supposedly designed in the UK and made in China, well there is your clue, Made in China, a copied tyre pattern from a premium brand, but built like all Chinese tyres, ie poor quality.

Driving on for 1500 spirited miles
I used these for a winter in New England but didn't drive in active snow storms, only on packed snow roads. They drive well in dry and wet conditions in a cold climate and did fine on packed snow (at slow speeds). I'd buy them again.
