Renault Modus 1.5Dci Authentique Tyre Review Highlights

Writing about the Nexen Winguard Sport 2 SUV given 71% (215-60-16)
Driving on mostly town for 37 average miles
I had a set of these tires for my previous Renault Megane III. They were great for the first two years on snowy roads. But their performance started to decline on snow and ice year by year. We have used them for seven years even at summer times for about 60.000kms and still they had over 3 mm tire depth. They were fine on dry and wet surfaces, I had no issue. They are definetly price/performance tires. They are bit soft at cornering and high speed maneuvering and you don't feel confident with them at the high speed. But it does not bother me because I don't like speeding at winter times. Now I will buy a set for my Landrover Discovery 3. But honestly I will not prefer them for my Mercedes C200 4matic (Continental is my favourite).

Just a short Review, i bought these Landsail 388 after reading reports, i was fed up with paying in excess of £100 per tyre to find they felt second rate, not The premium tyres i had expected, so back to the Landsails, i checked out their website, done my homework and bought a set...... Wonderfull they feel like a premium tyre, great feel, good grip, only done 2000 miles but still look as new,, will definitely be buying these again.

Driving on a combination of roads for 25000 average miles
Used them for about 40k km (25k miles). Still have 6mm thread on 2 tires, and 4mm on the other 2.
They are excellent tires in cold weather, and downright fantastic on snow and wet roads.
They are silent, and with good fuel efficiency.
Feedback isn't that great (although they do inspire confidence), and wear is just average.
Great tires overall!

bought to replace rear tyres that were very poor in wet so wet grip was important. These are just great and confident on bends and roundabouts, both wet and dry. I'm not too concerned about how long they last as I just want to arrive safely in all conditions. My local tyre dealer 'price matched' ASDA.

Inherited these tyres(on rear only)in good condition. All was well until rain and at first roundabout, loss of control at 15-20mph, was then cautious in similar conditions including light bends on open roads. Decided that with the approach of winter needed trusted contact and bought Dunlop sportblu Response - astonishing improvement.Dealer had fitted Uniglory Evolution to fronts and these seem good in dry or wet.

The tyre is good. The grip in the wet so not so good after 30,000 km.

These tyres are amazing! Cornering better than the old ones. They grip so well in all weathers - even today when the roads are covered in snow and black ice, I can brake (albeit gently) without the ABS cutting in! I'm also getting slightly improved fuel consumption (over 60mpg in the Renault Modus. They are showing no signs of significant wear yet.
