275/60 20 Tyre Review Highlights

Goodyear Wrangler Trailrunner AT rated 59% while driving a Chevrolet silverado 1500
Driving on for 28000 miles
These were the OE tires on my Silverado. They excel in road noise, comfort, and tread wear compared to KO2s that I had on a previous truck as well as performs better in the wet than those. However, they struggle more in mild off road situations, and are noticeably less capable in winter conditions and provide less feedback and steering response compared to the KO2s. These tires perform similar to Dynapro ATMs that I have also had before in most areas but handle slightly better especially in dry cornering. Because I live in the mountains I will not buy these again because I need more winter capability from my tires, however these would be a good choice for warmer climates or truck/SUV owners who do a lot of highway driving.

Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac rated 79% while driving a Ram 1500 hemi
Driving on mostly country roads for 30 average miles
Very good tire on a Ram 1500 in Canada. Much better winter traction than the Toyo AT2. I have also had the BFG KO2 and they are very similar. Performance is excellent in the snow for four years now. Not too loud or harsh on the highway but more so than the P metric tires that came on the truck new.

Hankook Dynapro AT2 rated 77% while driving a Ford F 150
Driving on mostly country roads for 15 easy going miles
Original equipment on 2023 F-150. 25,000 km. Tread remaining 9/32. Good on dry pavement and gravel roads. Fairly quiet, control feels secure and good control in the rain. Trailer towing is good and no problem on the boat ramp. Really poor on snow and ice. 50 to 60 kph not too bad but at highway speed with some slush on a mostly bare road it's scary. 4 wheel drive makes it better but still not a very secure feeling. One winter was enough for me, looking for something different.
I do get great fuel mileage and I believe these tires have a lot to do with that. They're a good commuter tire.

General Grabber HT rated 90% while driving a Ford F 150
Driving on mostly motorways for 10 average miles
UPDATE (though not 'mid life, more like 'early life'): August 2025 - vehicle is F150 with the 3.5L tyre size 275 60 R20: now have 17,000 km on this set of General H/T's, including 11,000 km road trip (Toronto to Edmonton to Banff to Radium to Jasper & return) pulling GVWR 6794# travel trailer (caravan). Note: in tow mode tyre pressures front 40 psi, rear 44 psi. For regular day to day 36psi. Highly recommend the H/T. Grip: outstanding wet (both towing and non). Toughness: Potholes, broken and uneven pavement ( plenty of throughout Canada west): handled all with ease. One down side, on gravel roads the tread will eventually shed most of the gravel the tyres pick up, however the tread will retain some gravel for quite a while. No surprise: rear tyres on the F150 have more wear: attributable to the F150 trailer sway control feature (applies slight braking independently to each rear wheel as required: prairie winds are noteworthy). Conclusion - H/T's so far - given price savings: likely slightly better than Michelin (compared to Defender's on a Outback), certainly from a ride perspective. And quieter, with better ride than Hankook Dynapro's (oem on F150). sd.

Pirelli Scorpion Verde rated 87% while driving a Nissan Maxima
Driving on mostly motorways for 100000 easy going miles
I used these tyres on my armada 2012 for 5 years. Amazing tyres. Very good performance, no wear at all. I drove more than 200K kilometers.
Highly recommended for highways trips.

Now it's time to change. I would definitely buy again.

General Grabber HT rated 82% while driving a Ford F 150
Driving on mostly motorways for 1000 average miles
General Grabber H/T (side wall includes 'GT' letters) tyre is new to Canada, - replaces the HTS60.
the Gen's H/T - manufactured in Slovakia - were my third choice to replace the F150 OEM Hankook Dynapro Ford tread.
First choice was Michelin LTX, second choice Continental Contact H/T. Interestingly both now (March 2025) not available in Canada.
Apparently Michelin is not shipping USA manufactured tires to Canada - likely due to Trump's new tariffs. Continental may be same issue.
NOTE some Michelin's (sizes unknown) are manufactured in Nova Scotia, Canada, however the tire size for F150's are made in USA
The Gen's installed April 1, 2025 (after waiting one month for my dealer to 'find' any Michelin's), driven 1600 kms so far in cool & some snow / wet conditions.
Too early to be more definitive on 'grip', rate acceptable for now, hence the '8'. Waiting for a good rain storm to determine wet cornering / braking grip.
Will update all ratings after 3 months.
A wee bit noisier, and definitely more road feel than the Hankook's, a good plus. And like almost any quality good tyre, an improvement over the worn Hankook's.

General Grabber HTS60 rated 94% while driving a Chevrolet silverado 1500
Driving on mostly country roads for 72 average miles
These came on my new 2020 Silverado . I now have 72,000 miles on them , still some tread . They are quiet tires and very smooth . They are very good in the rain . Good in the snow . This is my first pickup in many years and can't believe how well these tires have performed . Secure .

Bridgestone Dueler HT 684 rated 53% while driving a Nissan patrol
Driving on mostly town for 30000 easy going miles
Drove the car for 18 months only and 40,000 km , i started to feel car is losing grip and my tires are not driving well any more, when i check my tyres i found out that rear tyres are gone & the tread worn out knowing car is only used for city driving,

Toyo OBSERVE GSI 6 HP rated 100% while driving a Dodge ram 1500
Driving on a combination of roads for 60 spirited miles
The Observe GSI tire has no equal, there may be studded winter tires that outperform them on ice but from a daily driving POV you cannot beat these. Finally had to recycle mine after over 100,000kms. Will buy another set this winter for sure.

Nokian Outpost nAT rated 77% while driving a Toyota Tundra 2021
Driving on a combination of roads for 1000 spirited miles
This is an H rated tire which is fairy unusual for this particular size, especially in an AT configuration. Even more unusual is that this tire has A ratings for both traction and temperature. Something that Michelin or Bridgestone...doesn't appear to have in either their AS or AT configurations.

Needles to say, Nokian's specs on the Outpost nAT peaked my interests. I was looking for a slightly more aggressive replacement for a set of Continental TerrianContact H/T tires while maintaining both A ratings and an H speed rating.

The Outpost nAT handling is better than average in both dry and wet. Grip is realistically about the same in dry or wet (8.5) which is pretty amazing. Feedback is fairly good, really about the same as the Continentals. They are on a Toyota Tundra, which really isn't noted for great road feedback in the first place.

Snow grip is really great, but more importantly the off-road grip is really good. The primary reason that I was venturing toward an AT style tire in the first place. The physical sidewall protection gives an extra measure of comfort that AS tires just can't provide.

The only detractor for this tire is that it's a bit noisy (i.e. it does sing a bit at highway speeds). You don't have to raise the volume of the radio or while speaking, it's just a noise presence that wasn't there with the AS tires.

It's mildly amusing that the Nokian is apparently considered "mid-tier" while the "top-tier" Michelin and Bridgestone would appear to not carry A ratings for traction and temperature. These are government ratings that have been in place since...1979. One would think that obtaining an "A" rating in 2024 would be a cake walk.
