Bridgestone Battlax BT 023 Reviews - Page 4

Given 87% while driving a Honda CBR 600fm (225/45 R17) on mostly motorways for 4,000 spirited miles
Fitted to a older heavy sports bike these tyres smashed all exepectations, even impressing me with the improvements since the BT021, which i rode on in different compounds and spec. As mentioned before, the wet grip well outperforms what your brain tells you is actually smart to do whilst giving you feel to push the bike when your brain says it is time to do so.. when you need confidence in your rubber most. Feedback is 'good' but not supersport tyre good, the comfort is much better then you'd expect with stiffer suspection settings and you'll always feel great on a sunny day knowing whats wrapped around the wheels.

Given 99% while driving a Suzuki GSX1250FA (180/55 R17 W) on mostly country roads for 3,600 spirited miles
I fitted these on my Suzki 1250FA to see if I could improve the tyre wear. I have still got some life left in the front and have done 3600 miles with the rear. The tyres have kept there shape and are fantastic in the wet and the dry I have never had any moments with them fitted. Rear tyre wear I think is down to me but I will repace them with another set of 23,s

There's a new all season tire, can it be best?!
Given 96% while driving a BMW F800ST (225/45 R17) on mostly country roads for 3,000 average miles
Fitting a pair of 023s to replace well-worn and squared-off 021s on my BMWF800ST transformed the bike. They’ve done 3000 miles so far with no signs of wear – I cannot see any difference on a tread-depth gauge. Dry and wet grip is amazing - the latter especially so – in fact, so secure does the bike feel in the rain that one has to be careful not to push the limits too far. Small adjustments to a cornering line cann be done with precision and the bike flicks from side to side with ease. Braking (the Brembo units on the bike are very powerful) is absolutely stable.

Given 96% while driving a Kawasaki ZX10r (190/50 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 2,000 spirited miles

Excellent tyre have always used BT's from the BT-14 up. Putting 23's on the ZX10 has made the steering a little slower but the wear rate is excellent 2000 miles so far and loads of tread left (makes a change !) upped the front PSI to 38 and this has helped a little, may mix a BT14 front with a 23 rear.

Given 91% while driving a Honda CBR1100XX (180/55 R17) on a combination of roads for 5,000 spirited miles
an excellent replacement tyre for the blackbird. scrubbed in during a thunderstorm, ridden all winter apart from the very worst weather.
always felt secure with this tyre on the rear (BT021 Front), amazed at the wear on a heavy bike -much better than previous tyres as i would have been looking to replace them by now but still have good tread depth on the 23.
trying to wear it out so i can replace both tyres together with new 23's.

Given 91% while driving a Honda CBR600RR (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 1,000 spirited miles
Having shed the stock Dunlops on my 600RR (which are frankly lethal in anything other than 35 celsius!) I can honestly say these are the best tyres I have ever ridden on. True they are a sports tourer tyre but the solid centre section gives superb longevity and the sticky off centres mean you complete confidence to push it a little bit around the bends. As a police trained advanced rider I can honestly give these my highest reccomendation.

Given 87% while driving a Triumph Speed Triple (190/55 R17 W) on mostly country roads for 5,000 spirited miles
All the grip you'll ever need. Probably not as grippy as an ultra high performance tyre but these will easily outlast them, and more than enough grip for uk roads.

Given 94% while driving a Triumph tiger 1050 (180/55 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 2,500 spirited miles
I have these fitted to my 1050 Tiger and so far I'm very impressed with them. The wet grip is superb, best I've had in the wet so far i think. Dry grip is very good too and they allow me to keep up with my mates R1 on the road. I've done 2,500 miles on them so far and thet're not showing much signs of wear.
