These tyres (18) were fitted to the front wheels of my Nissan qashqai as recommended by the fitter. Decent in wet, decent in dry and road noise good too although the vehicle is never driven excessively. One major problem, after 12,000 miles in 16 months they needed changing as they only just limped through an mot. Wear was even across the tyres, no inner, outer or middle uneven wear. Never again. Back to Bridgestones.

Writing about the Michelin Primacy 4 given 73% (225-55-17-W)
Driving on mostly motorways for 14000 spirited miles
These tires are really a mixed bag. While dry and wet braking, wet handling and cornering are good, straight line traction off the line isn't. You have to know I drive a car with just around 120 BHP, which is nothing really. I get too much wheel spin on tarmac off the line and even mid 2nd gear which is really weird. It is like these were designed for rear wheel drive cars, whose tires will not spin as much off the line compared to a front wheel drive like mine. Wear and comfort are good so far, no worries here at least.

Overall while I wanted to like these tires I wouldn't buy them again really.

Driving on mostly country roads for 7000 average miles
good in the dry. frightening in the wet. wear rate seems high. cannot understand how a soft compound tyre can be so bad in the wet. tyre ride is good. but even on low revs taking off on an incine gives axle tramp.

Writing about the Kumho Ecsta PS71 given 99% (225-45-19-)
Driving on mostly motorways for 14732 average miles
Cheap and reliable the most important things is it last far longer than my stock 225/45/19 Continental Sport Contact 6 tyres. The Continental Sport Contact 6 lasted me only 15,000 miles, while my Kumho Ecsta PS71 still have 60% left after 17,000 miles. Great responsive handling and reliable during raining days. The only setback of this Kumho Ecsta PS71 have compared to Continental Sport Contact 6 is the noise level. But for the price and performance of this tyre is definitely a good buy. First time trying Kumho tyres and it had really build up my trust in this korea made tyre.

Driving on a combination of roads for 50000 average miles
Firm ride. Long lasting tyres that wear well. A littie noisy but handle wet and dry conditions well. Car was fitted with these when new and have refitted the same after 50,000 miles. Tyres showed no signs of cracking or side wall damage. Would buy again

Writing about the Continental ContiCrossContact LX 2 given 94% (215-60-17-H)
Driving on a combination of roads for 2000 spirited miles
I bought them recently and went with them about 2000 km. The impressions are excellent, quiet and comfortable, excellent in wet and very good in dry condition.
Before them I used GY EfficientGripSUV for 40000 km in 4 years, which were excellent in the dry but worse in the wet and desperate in gravel road.
All recommendations for Conticross lx2.
