Drawn from 27 tests. Updated September 15, 2025.
Michelin CrossClimate Plus delivers consistently strong dry-road performance and class-leading longevity, translating into frequent top-tier finishes and multiple test wins despite its age. Across 27 tests (avg. position 3.7), it regularly ranks top-3 in dry braking/handling and wear, with several overall victories and podiums in all-season tests. However, its wet aquaplaning capability and snow performance are recurrent weaknesses, and pricing is often among the highest, tempering value scores.
Overall, it excels for predominantly dry, temperate use with excellent durability and stable behaviour, but lags behind newer all-season rivals in deep water and snow-specific metrics. Awards and repeated high placements underscore its competitiveness, but the wet/aqua and winter gaps are consistent trade-offs.

Consistently good results for the highly recommendable Michelin CrossClimate+, when it's wet or dry. Reliable on snowy roads.
The Michelin CrossClimate+ has been testing well since 2017, rarely finishing out of the top five, even in 2020. The replacement Michelin CrossClimate 2 was launched in September 2021, and improves on the CrossClimate plus in the dry, wet, snow and rolling resistance.
The Michelin was well balanced under all conditions.
The CrossClimate+ excels in the dry and is fine in the snow, but couldn't match the latest generation of all season tyres in the wet. The CrossClimate 2 will be coming to market in 2021.
Test winner.
A great all rounder, with a big advantage in the dry compared to other all season tyres.
As the most "summer tyre like" of the all season tyres, the CrossClimate+ wins its category. It is however the most expensive tyre on test.
Exemplary all-rounder with balanced performance and the least performance degradation throughout the treadlife. One of the highest priced tyres, but the mileage balances with the price as the best wearing tyre on test. Highly recommended.
