Ford Bmax Tyre Review Highlights

Writing about the Vredestein Quatrac given 80% (195-55-15-)
Driving on mostly country roads for 3000 spirited miles
We fit them this summer on our second car, aFord B-Max replacing the old Semperit Speedlife2 / Speedgrip2 summer/winter tyres and were mightily impressed by those tyres. These are the first allseasons we used as we live in Austria were chances are that you also see some snow and low temp. So far we however did not drive it in the winter, but in summer it was exceptional. The car felt way more sporty, even directly compared to the summer tires... Even our mum noticed the difference and she is definiely riding non sporty ;-) Will update again once we see the first snow ;-)

Surprised by some of the negative reports but hey! everyone has an opinion. i have been using Dunlop tyres on all my cars and motorcycles for years and never had any issues. Superb road feedback, good in the wet with positive handling. Also very quiet wlth little road noise but then that could have something to do with Ford's cabin insulation.

Driving on mostly motorways for 50000 average miles
Living in the Netherlands, grip in wet conditions is more important than in snow. I drove 80.000 km with one set and still have 3.5 mm left. Grip in the wet is great compared to my previous tyres (factory fit on a Ford Fiesta, don't know which ones). When going to Germany in winter, grip in snow turned out to be bad. a slight incline was too much on compacted snow. To me, this doesn't matter because that's 0,5 of the 80.000 km I drove with those tires. The grip in the wet, wear and comfort make them a 'buy again'! 3 mm is fine for next summer if they'll last that long, 1,6 mm is required in the Netherlands. So this is past 'mid life' but will take some time before replacement.
