Peugeot 407 Coupe Tyre Review Highlights
Peugeot 407 coupe 2,7 hdi, upgraded to 240hp. (this car handles very very good!! 7,8s to 100kmh and 235kmh max)
for two seasons (20000km) it is a dream come true, cant compare to premiumcontact6 or anything else I've ever driven. Doesn't matter dry or wet :)
third season more than ok, but that's it. For two seasons it's perfect, if you can afford it. Would I buy them again? YES. But will probably try other premium sports tyres, just to see the difference.

Balanced tires, very good in summer and good in winter, I recommend them for light winter with a lot of moisture. Quite quiet on the road, traveled about 20,000 km (12000 miles) and are 6mm deep in profile. They are resistant to road shocks (asphalt potholes). It still looks good.

Overall I do not recommend them. He should stop manufacturing. Nice design, it has Michelin behind, but very cool tires. God forbid you, to put the emergency brake ... on a dry road, does not stop, you're still going. On the wet road or at the speed of 30-50 mph (50-70 km / h) you can not feel safe. In addition, very noisy, vibration, the tire shop told me to change them. They had a pretty long life, but no comfort. Lost money.

We run two Peugeot 407 Coupes which are big heavy cars (uses the Citroen C6 chassis but with conventional double wishbone and IRS suspension) and the cars have covered 25,000 miles between them on Avon ZV7s.
Grip is superb in the dry and wet, although I have noticed that when cornering in the wet on a bumpy road they are prone to breaking grip for a millisecond before gripping again.
Tyre wear isn't too excessive but the first pair of fronts were munched in 10,000 miles (I change mine at 3mm). I also have a sporty 206 wearing Pirelli Cinturato and an MG Midget on Yokohamas, both of which show no signs of wear despite spirited driving, although fewer miles and lighter cars, so maybe not a great comparison!
Comfort is good and we recently drove 2000+ miles to the South of France and back, whisper quiet and enough meat to make driving at speed on French roads a pleasure.

I think it is important for people to understand that the vehicle, driver combination gives different results with different tyres. My Opinion is based on the 235/45/R18 98Y on a 407 Coupe 2.0 hdi.
I drive between 250 and 500 miles per week on a mix of roads mainly steady driving although I do enjoy the odd spirited bit of driving on country roads.
The grip from these tryes is consitently good in snow, ice, rain and the dry. I have tried throwing the car around in the wet to find out how good they are(having read the comments about them being a death trap etc etc)and they grip perfectly well. They drive just as well as Bridgestone RE505A that I have used before but are a fraction of the cost. I have only done 3000 miles but no sign of wear.

these are great tyres at the PRICE .hold well in wet and dry they are SPORT TYRES so will last less than ordinary tyre , cannot believe people slate these tyres as " there not as good as bridgestone or.... etc " that's because they are 1/2 the cost of a bridestone goodyear etc
why do u think a fiesta is 8-9 grand ans a mondeo is 16-22 grand because more has gone into it , if your after a buget tyre because your on a budget you cannot go wrong . a c63 with primewells on ...wow !

Changed from Pirelli P-Neros to Avons after some good experience of these on an Alfa 164. Wear so far is excellent (no visible change after 10Kmiles) admittedly mainly on motorway driving. Awesome dry-road grip, though they prefer smooth sweepers; choppy roads make them apparently flex under very hard cornering. Very quiet also, with very good wet-grip, though i can't really comment on how they break away - don't often drive this car beyond its limits in the wet. Overall thoroughly recommended. £78 each from F1 autocentres. BTW this car needs regular alignment checks as the front suspension is carrying a lot of weight. Worth it to get even wear though.

These were bought for an attractive price (was 65% to Michelin and Conti)Dry grip is fantastic, I have to admit that the tyre coped extremely well in certain push to the limit situations. However, my biggest concern was the vibration at highway speeds, 120+kmph. Someone else too reported vibrations and countless efforts of rebalancing which resulted in no success. I was so concerned changing various parts in the car due to the severity of the vibration. This tyre simply does not like wet conditions. In fact, it was so dangerous that even low speeds were a hazard. The wear rate is better than previous version of this tyre, but it honestly does no good since below 6mm the tyre behaves poor. I still have some thread left but I too will get rid of them asap. There are far better options. Personally, Pirelli is not what it used to be.

Bought these as I do a lot of motorway driving. I had kumho's on the car before these and I found the car skitting when hitting standing water. These rainsport are phenomenal in the wet. In the dry they are very good. I now have such confidence driving in the rain.

These tyres never let me down and I found the grip was excellent in both dry and wet conditions but I hardly got 11 months out of them. They wear very quickly.
