Test Summary | |
Best tyre for dry roads | Bridgestone Turanza T001 Continental Premium Contact 5 |
Best tyre for wet roads | Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance Continental Premium Contact 5 |
The lowest fuel use | Michelin Energy Saver Plus |
The lowest wear | Michelin Energy Saver Plus |
The quietest tyre | Yokohama BluEarth AE01 |
This year they've placed extra emphasis on tyre life cost, meaning high wear tyres which are relatively expensive tyres to buy finished much lower than before. This has affected Continental and Bridgestone, where as Michelin having the best wear on test, was penalised for its wet performance. Only Goodyear and Dunlop seem to have found a balance ADAC are happy with, and finish the test in the first two positions.
