Continental Eco tire means 3% fuel save compared to Premium Contact, whereas the wet performance is 40-50% worse. I would not take this risk if the tire is not the default by the factory. The experience on wet road feels like the above numbers show.

These were supplied new on our 2023 Kia Niro EV. On inspection they appeared to have very shallow tread when new and now are up for replacement at only 36,000 Km of quiet economical driving (I'm 73 years old and used to enjoy seeing what a car could do but now I'm a confirmed user of active cruise control).
They would be the noisiest tyre I have ever owned and I cannot recommend them in NZ. This is on New Zealand's coarse chip seal roads - on the limited stretches on asphalt available in the South Island they are the quietest tyre I have ever owned - an unbelievable difference when driving from one surface to the other.

Okay in the dry but on a 155ps Ford Puma horrendous in the wet. Wheel spin with medium acceleration and serious work the abs in the wet. Worst ' quality ' tyre in 40 years of driving , continental i used to praise your tyres. Let's hope the Q version is better.

This is an updated review after 5000 miles. I have the 6Q variant of this tyre fitted to my car. After 5000 miles, the tyre is still very comfortable and quiet. Dry grip is quite good, and dry handling is okay. Not great but adequate for daily driving. Wet grip, on the other hand, is horrendous. I encountered aquaplaning quite a lot in the rain, so I had to slow down quite a bit. Driving 60 mph in the wet feels really unsafe and jittery, and that’s in the straight. Wet braking is terrible. ABS kicked in a lot even at relatively low speed. For that reason, I will not be buying this tyre again. I would gladly sacrifice a bit of comfort for safety. If you live in the area that rains a lot, avoid this tyre.

Came on used wheels as MGT (Maserati spec). They only have B rated wet grip opposed to the Aftermarket ones with A, yet they feel safer to drive. As a Eco-oriented Tire they have a tendency to heavy understeer in the Wet but only if you really push them. Dry Performance is alright, road feedback is numb. Once you found the steering angle you didt nedd a lot of correction throughout the corner. When doing slight turns the tire always wanted to straighten up, especially when doing lane changes.
Aquaplaning performance seemed quite good even with just around 4 mm left.
Honestly I was positively surprised as my father had the EcoContact 5's as Oem Tires and they were horrible in the Wet.
All in all a Ok tire for very defensive/relaxed drivers but not for people who want to have reserves in Wet and bad weather.

Not good at wet surfaces. Cold, curves, wet and high torque is enemy of this tyre.

Dry Grip: Fantastic and consistent for the whole duration of the tire. Grip seemed to fade after 45,000 Km.
Wet Grip: Didn't need it much but was quite pleased from it when needed.
Road feedback: Soft tyres with more that enough road feedback , especially when the road is not smooth.
Handling: More than enough for a passenger car
Wear: They tyre stayed consistent with its performance in all aspects until 45,000 Km which is good. But after that it needed replacement ASAP. I usually dont feel i should change tyres before 50k Km so the wear could be a bit better.
Comfort: Comfortable on comfortable roads, decent on bad roads.
Buy again: Definitely, the tyres best feature is the fuel consumption which saved me a lot over the time i was using it. Lower my average fuel consumption by about 0.2 L/100 Km.

At one time Continental would proudly have displayed "Engineered in Germany" on the sidewall. Not anymore and with the EcoContact 6 I am not surprised as it is a terrible tyre!
My new Dacia Duster had them fitted and I found them to have a very 'Wooly' feel about them along with very poor wet grip. I class myself as 'Captain Slow' when driving but these tyres inspired zero confidence. At just 426 mile covered they had ONLY 5mm tread!!!
I bit the bullet and purchased a full set of Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 and the difference is like between night and day.

Not enough tread. Fitted to my brand new Duster - the tread looked quite shallow from new. At the first service it was noted that tyres were getting a bit low - not near the minimum but the thing has only done 2500 miles! And I'm a retired slow economy type driver, with mostly me and the wife aboard, with the weekly shopping for 2! Dreading having to get another set after about 6 or 7000 at this rate - my tyres normally get too old before the tread wears out! And they are £around £500 a set being a strange size.What a rip off - completely wipes out the mpg advantage of an efficient turbo car. ['m going to claim unfair wear and tear on the warranty if this happens - what are the chances?! Puts me off buying another car with these on

I have the 6Q version of this tyre. It came fitted on my BYD Seal AWD (not listed here, so I chose MG since it's also a chinese car). The standout quality of this tyre is definitely comfort. It's very compliant and very, very quiet, probably the quietest tyre I've ever had. Road noise is almost nonexistent. But of course, being an eco tyre, performance is not the priority. Dry grip is fine when cruising at up to 120 km/h (75 mph), but not great when the car is driven spiritedly. It feels jittery, especially combined with the car's soft suspension. Handling is okay given its soft sidewall, but just doesn't feel grippy enough to inspire confidence to push the car in twisty roads. I never lost traction during acceleration, which is pleasantly surprising. In the wet, it feels quite slippery and wet braking is not as good as in the dry, but acceptable. Steering feels lazy and slow, and road feedback is minimal (it is an EV). I've only clocked 5000 km on them, and there's no noticeable wear yet, but I notice the tread is pretty shallow for an eco tyre. In conclusion, buy this tyre if you're after comfort and fuel economy. I wouldn't hesitate to put it on a family car or minivan. For cars with decent performance, I would look elsewhere.

Wanted a nice solid tyre with a particular focus on low rolling resistance. These Ecocontact 6s are quite nice. They are comfortable and quiet. The grip is unreal in comparison to the mishmash of Triangle, Yeada, Fronway, and iLink L-Grip (inspiring name) that the previous owner of this car decided to rock. These tyres are much more planted and I no longer engage ABS while braking for the traffic lights in the wet :)

These tyres were fitted from factory on my Megane. They do not excel in any category, the steering feels numb, dry grip is let's say average, wet grip is weak, noise level not great either. Honestly, my winter tyres, Vredestein Wintrac Pro feel safer in the dry and wet compared to the Conti Eco Contact 6. Despite the low amount of grip, wear is high, after 3 seasons they need replacing. I really can't find any strong points for these tyres. Maybe rolling resistance, allthough I don't see differences in fuel consumption compared to the winter tyres. Would not recommand these tyres. They are priced as premium tyres, but they really feel more like budget tyres to me. Maybe they would do ok on a small car that only drives around town.

These tyres should not be put on cars purchased in Great Britain, no good for our climate with roads cold and wet most of the year, mine only lasted 15 months

These came standard on our secondhand 2 y/o Lynk & Co 01 phev with 16k kms, and are the first/factory fitted tires. They will likely be finished after 23k kms, according to our garage mechanic. Since we did 3k of those projected 23k, it's difficult to offer any long time judgement. But for the 4k we've had them here in the Netherlands and during our French holiday, they were decent, but not great. They favor new and pristine asphalt, and handle a bit better in a warm and dry environment, wet and cold aren't its favorite circumstances.
