Audi A5 2.0TFSI Quattro Tyre Review Highlights
Had these tyres on a 2019 Audi A5 Sportback S-Line with 20" Rims. After 2000km, I love these tyres. My requirements were everyday comfort and minimal road noise, with a great balance in performance.
They were great in the dry, but where I really noticed their edge was in the wet. They give plenty of confidence while driving, braking, turning, and braking in the turn on wet roads, and this was exactly like the reviews I had read before.
Summary, highly recommend.

I had them on my 2023 Audi A5 45 TFSI Quattro, but i didn't like them!
The wear was awful and they were pretty noisy compared to the SportContact7.
Also, the grip wasn't that great in dry conditions and i had an insecure feeling at the wheel!

Bad under wet braking, had to do an emergency brake and the car veered to the side, never had that happen before. Do not feel confident in the wet with these. Dont buy, they were already fitted to my car when I got it.

I've been using these tyres for half a year now and they feel great.
Though i must say dry grip is kinda offset by the quattro system, i still barely have any wheelspin, even in the rain, with a stage 1 tune.

Very happy with this tyre. They have near enough eliminated the usual understeer from my A5 with a very sharp turn in and a progressive feel as the tyres load up through moderately fast corners. I’ve only experienced the wet a couple of times and it again impressed me. It’s too early to say how they will wear but I will review again in the future.

This is only an initial observation !!!!
i am comparing the pilot sport as 4 to my old tires, pilot sport as 3 worn down almost to the tread indicator.
so having driven only 10 miles on the highway on the new tires: they definitely have great feedback and feel planted to the road. However, they feel jittery and transmit road imperfections noise-wise.
on a flat, "no imperfections" road surfaces they feel smooth as ice skating. unfortunately, very few roads have no imperfections.
i am an easy going driver so i probably will not approach the performance envelope of these tires, except for avoiding dangerous situations....which is where braking and steering matter, hence for safety.

The previous owner fit this tire to the car the winter before I bought it. So they were pretty new when I started with them. The tyre itself is quiet compared to the SportContact 6s I have for the summer. But after fitting them back on the car the road feedback is very lacking and the wet grip is so bad it made an Audi with Quattro spin it’s wheels! The most shocking thing is the balance of the car and the braking distance. Driving on motorways it’s floating around all over the place and the braking distance feels dangerously long.
All in all then, the noise level is the only good thing I have to say about the tyre.

Only done 5 k mls in cold temps, no snow or ice yet. Use cc and cc+as winter tyre on spare set of wheels, as used 830 p the same way

Tyres cracked, replaced f o c by cc+

I’m not one to usually post reviews but after seeing the amount of negative reviews the nankangs are recieving, I had to tell you about my extremely positive experience.
Honestly, these tyres are some of the best value for money / performance you can buy.
I own a Audi A5 (Quattro) and the tyres perform brilliantly in wet, dry, summer and winter. Handling and feedback is very good, economy as well.
I put four new ones on my car for £400.00 (£100.00 each) and got 30,000 miles out of the front pair. The backs will need replacing soon (I expect about 34,000 miles).
Given they ‘cheapest’ premium tyre (Dunlop/Mitchelin/Conti) will set you back £220.00 per tyre, you really cannot complain for the performance and wear on the nankangs.
I have to question some of these reviews about their performance, any tyre will slip in the wet if you’re driving like an idiot. Says more about your poor driving!
If you’re debating getting these tyres, I cannot recommend them highly enough - new pair on order as I’m writing this!

Do NOT buy these! I've used budget tyres before, mostly because I can't drive worn or 7+ year old tyres due to safety and the law! These were horrible in just about every way, they overheat way too easily and loose traction whenever you try to do a quick maneuver, they aren't track tyres but not being able to turn in roundabouts??? Come on! And the mpgs you're getting is just as bad as sport tyres with a lot of rolling resistance. The noise is the worst part though... They're way too loud, I've used tyres with 73 db rating and they seemed quieter.
