Given 54% while driving a Skoda Fabia 1.9TDi (205/50 R15 V) on mostly country roads for 16,000 average miles
Fitted these after the originals wore out and was initially pleased with the grip. Much better than the P6000s that were factory fitted and reasonable feedback and confidence.

Economy is definitely down though and I'm getting 55mpg rather than 60mpg. Comfort and noise ok and better than the P6000's. Wear is moderate - just about gone on the front at 12K.

The down side: they get MUCH worse at around 4mm tread. I'm getting nowhere near the feedback that I had when new and get noticeable drift in the wet. Now at 3mm and they really DO need replacing.

Still, not a bad tyre - just not the best

Given 61% while driving a Ford Galaxy (225/50 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 10,000 spirited miles
Purchased the Galaxy March 08.
Within six months developed a slow puncture in o/s rear.
In general performance in Wet & Dry Conditions were good.

Given 50% while driving a Honda Accord (225/45 R17 W) on mostly country roads for 10 spirited miles
Too early to score accurately, but thought I would post anyway - I bought these tyres first, then stumbled across this web site, doh! The Excellence doesn't do well in your reviews and had I have visited this site first, I probably would have bought the F1 Asymmetric. I have used Bridgestone 040 and Michelin Pilot Sport in the past so will be interesting to compare. I will post again when I've done a few more miles.

There's a new all season tire, can it be best?!

Given 41% while driving a Volvo V40 1.9D SE (195/60 R15 V) on a combination of roads for 13,000 average miles
Have had these Goodyear excellence just under a year 13000mls and I think the wear rate is unbelievable (down to wear blocks) and showing up badly when grip is needed on corners when it rains and the suffer from bad tramlining, will not be buying these again and going to try Conti prem contact 2 next

Given 46% while driving a Ford Focus ST (225/40 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 17,000 spirited miles
these came with my 57 plate st and did 17000 and wore o.k but i found when cornering it would give me a sense that the sidewall was coming off the rim.it felt very flat but it did grip well in the dry with no tyre squeel atall but i now have vredesteins ultrac sessanta and its 100 times better and at a reasonable ?110 a tyre inc vat im happy to pay for the performance

Given 75% while driving a Ford Mondeo (215/50 R16 W) on mostly country roads for 12,000 spirited miles
These tyres are used on police vehicles and are subject to a lot of abuse. I have used them on ST220's, Diesel Mondeos and diesle focus's, and have no real complaints about them. Wet grip is resonable, but as they wear the grip is noticablly less, more so that other tyres eg Vredestien Sessanta on my private car. Dry grip is very good and very progessive, which what I value most when driving really rather quickly!
The wear on the diesel Mondeos is highest, but still get 12,000 miles to a set of fronts, even with the abuse they get, and the focuses nearer 20,000, even though they get changed at 3mm.
Generally a very good tyre and a lot better in the wet than the old NCT 5's

Given 69% while driving a Ford Focus ST (225/40 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 25,000 average miles
These tyres came on the car when new and the front lasted about 15k miles, although they could have gone slightly longer, if not for a puncture on the front n/s that could not be repaired. The ones on the rear have now done 25k miles and will soon need replacing after 2 years being on the car.
Put Conti Contact 2's on the front at 15k, and found these tyres better for grip than the GY's, although they have worn out quicker.

Given 39% while driving a Ford Focus ST (225/40 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 8,000 spirited miles
These were fitted to my from standard, and I have to say I think I would be hard pushed to find a worse tyre. The main proble is that the sidewall of these tyres is very soft. This means Steering feedback and responce suffers. Dry weather grip was so so, but wet weather grip was appalling. If the road is greasy, forget driving your car anywhere, however if it was very wet, they did seem ok.

Possibly fine as a motorway tyre, but for any sort of performance use, look elsewhere.

Given 57% while driving a Ford Mondeo (205/55 R16 V) on a combination of roads for 16,000 average miles
Very poor wear rate, only lasted 16000 miles (down to 1mm) on front. Tyre tends to 'tramline'. Grip and ride good otherwise. Quiet on normal roads.

Previous tyres (Continental Sport Contact 2, Michelin Pilot Primacy) each wore better (23000 miles) on front.

Given 57% while driving a Saab Automobile 9 3 SPORTSCOMBI (215/55 R16 V) on mostly motorways for 67,000 spirited miles
THESE TYRES HAVE ONLY LASTED 11,300 MILES I AM NOT PLEASED WITH THEM THE LAST SET WHERE GOODYEAR NCT 5's AND THEY LASTED ABOUT 28,000 MILES AND PERFORMED JUST AS GOOD I WONT BE BUYING THE NCT EXELLENCE AGAIN !

Given 84% while driving a Mercedes Benz E320 (215/55 R16 W) on mostly motorways for 10,000 easy going miles
An improvement over the Dunlop Sport SP01 tyres and a MASSIVE improvement over the terrible Pirelli P6000 tyres - those things were frightening on bends!

These Goodyear Excellence tyres are the finest riding tyres I've tried, very quiet with a softness that suits a luxury car. I've not had the car slide at all with these tyres (unlike the P6000s).
