I bought these frankly because I was broke and wanted to try a cheap tyre for once. I had been running Bridgestone RE50's on my Holden Commodore VE SS (V8). Bridgestones are so damn expensive and generally wear down fairly quickly on my car so I bought these thinking oh yeh they'll last longer and should be OK. I was more worried about road noise, I had read reviews it wasn't very good in the wet but figured given my cars 50/50 weight distribution, longer wheel base and stability control/lsd etc they would be OK. I was wrong. Went around a corner coming out of a round about rainy day..... bang read end slipped out from under me. Normally I can predict it even feel it being a V8....... nope. Slid like it was on ice.

Dont buy them. I dont know what I'm going to do with them yet. I've only had them on the car 2 days and I already worry about it's stopping capability. I have bigger brakes, but that wont help if tyres don't grip the road.

I'm used to Bridgestones, they just work. I never had to worry about grip even when they were completely BALD! My bridgestones were like slicks just before I changed them never had grip problems in the rain. But these with full tread couldn't hold a candle against completely bald RE50's.

Police shouldn't fine people based on tread levels, they should STOP manufacturers like this making tyres that are just so damn dangerous!

These things should be banned ! The most dangerous tyres i have ever used in the wet. Spins on standing start, lethal around roundabouts, have done 500Km and they are coming off ASAP, Never risk your life on these tyres!

The worst tyre I have ever had. Awful grip in the wet and dry. I never felt confident in corners or at any time in the wet. To top it off front tyre developed a bulge after 10000km. Never again.

These tyres were on the front of our ASX mitsubishi when we purchased it with only 7600km on the clock.
First time we got to drive it in the wet, it was appalling. Absolutely dangerous. even at low speed these things had no grip. Slight up hill start, no grip for traction. its not like we were driving it like a race car either. these tyres should not be sold.. if they are cheap, there is a reason for it. , NEVER again will we have a car with this garbage on its wheels.

My regular tyre shop recommended this as the best option as my vehicle only had 2 more years before scrapping, lasted me well with more than enough thread lift left. Would still get Maxtrek Maximus M1 for my new vehicle.

Good tyre good price, not perfect but still perform well in every aspect. Good handling even I keep driving @ around 110km/h.

Don't even touch recommend by a tyre dealer, fine in the dry but wet is another story, try to contact max trek to let know what I thing but no number, very dangerous

Not sure what to say about these lethal tyres!! Came as part of sale on rear of 06 BMW 320d, in the dry they are good enough never felt they would let go on corners but once any sort of water hits the road it's a whole different story. Any power over the rear wheels on corners or junctions makes them let go which is nothing but dangerous. never in all my years have I experienced tyres with so little grip on the wet and I dread to think what ice or snow will do to these rubbush tyres. don't buy cheap tyres as these I'm sure have and will cause many a accident and your life is worth more than this crap!

Seriously the worst tyres by far. Dealer put these on as part of sale. No grip in wet at all. Skid on standing start, skid on mid corner acceleration, skid on roundabout turns. Only saved by car's ESP. Had them for 5 days and changed to Pirelli P7. The comparison can not even be measured by scale. These tyres should be banned from the road as it's dangerous to use them in wet.

A Ford main dealer put these on before I bought my Grande Punto T-jet late last year. The first time I took a corner in the wet I nearly lost control but put it down to the fact that I may not have scrubbed the tyres in. 4000 miles later and they are just as bad, in fact I would say that they are verging on dangerous. Moderate speeds round wet roundabouts see the front end lose grip very easily and, if you lift off the power, end up with the back end stepping out.
In dry conditions the grip is average. The tyres are very unforgiving and noisy and I am ditching them this week - before they put me in a ditch - and fitting a set of Michelin Primacy 3s.
I just hope that I notice a big difference!
Over 25 years ago when I was short of cash I used to fit second hand tyres or remoulds, the Maxtrek show just how far tyre technology has been ignored by this manufacturer!!!

These cheap shit tyres were put on by a Tight Arse Dealer, without my knowledge, or consent, as part of the sale. May as well have put 4 Rubber Ducks on the alloy rims. 'Made in Indonesia': Proves that 3rd World Muslim Countries can't make real tyres. Removing. DO NOT BUY!

These tyres are shit house no grip in the dry and definitely no grip in the wet has as much grip as a greasy ass hole did 5 skids on them though and took nothing off them if you want something lubed up then get a woman not these ship heap tyres made of poo
