Buy this tyres in 2024 for my custom build Alfa Romeo 159. The car is FWD, Automatic and have done few engine, gearbox and suspension modifications. What can I say...this is the best tyre for hot and dry summer roads that I try till now. The grip in hot, dry road is astonishing, on wet summer days is good too. Noise is acceptable, wear is high, maybe too high, but performance always come with a price.
The only one real problem for me is the grip in temperatures under 10 Celsius. This can be feel in Spring or Autumn when temperatures varies(night and day)from 5 to 25 Celsius. Even in dry road, when temperatures are under 10 Celsius tyres loses some grip.

3rd Summer on these tires. Truth have to be said, this tire is a bit different than what I wanted and choose this over other tires, but i'm not regretting my purchase.
The tire still provides so much grip that my car can't use it to its full potential, dry grip is limitless, or at leas feels like it, the 7th Gen Celicas known to have a little understeer, but with this tire, my springs and shocks start to jump before the grip goes away, which means that the saying is true, best mod on any car is tire, with this tire, I don't feel the need to upgrade or modify my car any further, at least in summer conditions. On wet surface, I don't know how, but feels like the road is dry and we are back at square one, straight aqua planning is excellent, even with a car thats barely over a tonne. Because of the low weight, the tire wear is minimal if there is any, and I'm attacking corners and round abouts in at every possible chance. I cant afford cars with huge powers, so tire life was never a factor, my tires go away because of age mostly.
Bad news is, that the tires are still very loud, my car has zero insulation, and even the Blizzak winter tires are quieter in summer conditions than the Eagles, but I have to ad that they are very different in size as well 205/50/16 against 225/45/17, the sidewall is super stiff for this reason. Not fair, but have to say it.
My car have very direct steering feel, and this tire gives the ultimate road feel, I literally feel the small cracks on the road, however, sometimes this results in extreme tramlining effect. and we have very bad roads over here, and if its very bad, it can literally take the steering wheel out of your hand if you are not carefull and hold it like your life depends on it, this can be exhausting on longer trips, but again, this car encourages this more than any other reason. (however Blizzaks obviously eliminates this issue, so the tire is part of it)
I will probably buy this tire again for my new GR86 project car as well, if the need arises for a new summer tire.

TL;DR: A safe yet annoying to drive tyre.

I'll start with the positive: these tyres feel very safe in almost all conditions, even in light winter conditions.
They also feel safe on wet roads, both on lightly damp roads and in deep standing water, with very good aquaplaning resistance.

The dry grip is quite enjoyable in summer conditions, they steer very light and easy, my steering wheel became lighter after mounting these tyres.

Now I have to address my negative experiences with these tyres:
I immediately heard more rolling noise compared to the Michelin PS4 that these tyres replaced, however the bump absorption and road feel is much better compared to PS4, they feel much softer.
On rough roads these Eagles sound like there's a window open, it's more of a heavy whooshing noise instead of a high pitch rolling noise.
Even Continental WinterContact TS850 P were much more comfortable and silent to drive on this car than the Eagle Asy6.

On wet roads and even on cold dry concrete roads the cornering traction is totally lacking, the tyre feels like it's locking up as soon as it looses a little grip and it takes away all your speed causing very jerky grip when trying to corner fast, you can really feel the compound of this tyre is not made for progressiveness during cornering.

Overall I'm extremely disappointed, they don't excel as a Touring tyre neither as a Performance tyre, it's hybrid tyre that only excels at safety only in my opinion.

Finally installed fresh UHP/Max performance tyres to tryout. Somewhat it was cheaper than efficientGrip Performance 2.
No wonder why Jonathan loves them - truly comfy, silent enough, darty and grippy.

I could not fully judge based on +4*C ambient temperature, but for first 10 km initially looked harsh and loud.
After 20 km the tire warmed up, became more silent and comfy, looks solid and expectations are high for true summer environment.
Oh, and that meaty rim protector looks awesome.

Follow up to an previous, early-impression, review. 5000 miles and a winter later.

Still very impressed with overall blend of characteristics in terms of performance and everyday comfort.

What's really surprised me was the grip levels over winter (northern England), especially on cold wet roads. Not sure it if it's the compound but it really didn't feel compromised when/where I expected it to - at the point I'd normally fit AS tyres. Obviously not in terms of any snow but just cold greasy roads.

Wear seems ok for what it is.

I Purchased a set of 4 for my Mercedes A250 AMG, used for 2 years approx and I can proudly say this tyre gets into the Top 5 easily alongside brands like Michelin, Bridgestone, Pirelli and Continental.
I would highly recommend whether you are driving a normal car or a sport car.
Really worth the money compared to the other brands!

Fitted these Goodyear Eagle Asymmetric 6 tyres to my Abarth 595 competizione before a trip to the Nurburgring after seeing some positive reviews and WOW what a tyre, got me there and back and performed excellently on track then spent the last 6000 miles with mostly spirited driving and these just grip brilliantly wet or dry, They are a little noisy but thats a tiny downside when you consider the performance you get from them.

I fitted a set of 4 225 50 17 94Y On a 2023 Audi A4 Avant after removing the original pirelli blue tyres that didn't ride smoothly. They are a great all-round tyre in dry and wet low road noise on most surfaces and good ride comfort after 20,000 miles I've rotated the tyres and think I could get another 10,000 miles as I've 5mm front and 3.7 mm rear I would recommend

Great on city streets when you need the tyres to be responsive even when cold. Great when warm on mountain roads and out of town, but they last 30,000 miles and then cracks appeared, one of them is losing air and I lost faith in them. I now drive sensibly and carefully to wear the tires while looking to change them.

Probably the best tyres I've ever had on my daily and they saved my life.

In the dry they offer decent feedback and good grip for minimal road noise, great for long journeys.
In the wet there was no aquaplaning if driving at sensible speeds for the road I was on.
They were very progressive at the limit and you would know when the front end was close to sliding when pushing it on (useful for Audi owners...).
Wear was very even across the tread, nearside shoulder was at 1.6 mm and the main body was approx. 2 mm.

On the life saving bit, I was doing 100 km/h and a van appeared over a blind crest on the wrong side of the road. I decelerated from 100 - 0, easily within the 33 metres claimed by magazines. I've put a new set on the car and won't have anything else on the daily going forward.

Been driving for many decades but last 10 years I used to buy Vredestein until their quality dropped, so tried a few other cars with different tyres, and saw the Goodyear Assy 5's were very good. The new version Assy 6's came out so decided to use on my previous car and the results were excellent. Now have on my Audi A4 Quattro and they are utterly superb, especially when you need them (emergency stuff and poor weather). I was worried about the wear after reading all the comments which I always research, but I find the wear excellent for application (sporty will wear more than touring etc). I strongly recommend these tyres which even impress my comrades with tyre-specific sports cars when I let them drive mine. Whatever the new methods of manufacture and materials, it works well on these.

I was initially interested in this tyre from the reviews both from our man, and from other sources. I was initially pleased by the comfort and the grip in general but surprised by a behavior I noticed only on this tyre: the load shift on a fast bend, especially if you touch the brakes, is so bad I need to correct on the steering, something that I never had to do on any other tyre on this car, both runflat and not. Makes it feel like the car’s suspension is suddenly perished, this at 2,2bar (front) and 2,3 bar (rear). Things got better by raising the pressure significantly, now it’s at 2,5/2,7 and the tyre feels much better, but still does that thing on fast bends, especially on a particular narrow bend downhill. I hate it and this alone would not make me choose this tyre again, it never happened with other brand and tyres and I had Conti Sport Contact 5, Falken (not UHP), Yokohama V105… i think it could be due to the rigidity of the sidewall, but go figure
