Questions and Answers for the Bridgestone Turanza T005 Driveguard

Ask a question

I have a BMW 2 series and would like to replace 2 new tyres, Bridgestone Turanza T005 Driveguard (flat run) is my target. I would like to ask if this flat run tyre is punctured, how long miles I still can drive? My second question is if the existing tyres of my car are not flat-run, can I just replace 2 only? If so, I should put the new flat run tyres on the front or rear? Thanks.

Runflat tyres are typically rated for 50 miles at 50 mph. Unfortunately we can't recommend mixing runflat and non-runflat tyres, though we're sure many people do it.

Top 3 Bridgestone Turanza T005 Driveguard Reviews

Given 67% while driving a BMW 218d Gran Tourer (205/60 R16) on mostly country roads for 40,000 spirited miles
Alright tyres, saved me once with the driveguard technology. Grip kinda lacks especially in wet conditions, even a bit of pedal down it squeezes. Wear is my concern as they lasted less than 40000 miles and are about to hit the indicator, last time using them as they are not good anymore for another year.

Given 97% while driving a BMW 318D (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 50,000 spirited miles
Got these when the first came out for BMW E90 fronts and were better than the OEM Pirelli which are still on the rears. 50,000 miles later still 3mm left but shoulder wear due to my driving so replaced with another pair and the noise is so low. And A rated wet grip too.

Given 90% while driving a Hyundai i40 sedan (205/60 R16 V) on a combination of roads for 1,000 average miles
Bought these tyres as the Tyres (windforce) fitted to the car when purchased used were verging on the dangerous, My initial impression has been incredibly positive, the car is more responsive in both dry and wet conditions with much improved traction and braking road noise is relatively low which was my main concern considering the eu labels 72db claimed noise level, The driveguard technology has also given the added bonus of less tyre sidewall deformation which given their 60 profile was a problem on the previously fitted tyres. Based on their performance so far I'd recommend them unreservedly.
