2026 Auto Express Summer Tyre Test P8 of 8

The Dynamo Street-H MH01 is included here as a reference point and it makes the case against budget tyres more effectively than any argument could. The saving over the next cheapest tyre in this test is small, and what it buys is a large loss of wet braking performance, wet grip and efficiency. Several tyres in this group cost only a little more and are far better in almost every area, and on a wet road that difference is measured in stopping distance rather than in comfort.

Not bad at all for the money. Got them on my lowered ef civic. Dry handling is good. Wet handling is definitely adequate. Car is fun to drive with these tyres. Crashy as hell but probably more the old BC coilovers' fault than the tyres. Car doesn't have enough power for me to assertain if wheelspin is an issue so can't comment there.

Not a nice experience using these tyres. Grip was adequate, but unfortunately the very loud road noise from these tyres made driving very unpleasant.

Absolutely fantastic tyres, had to swap my horrible goodyear vector 4 seasons gen 2 for these great tyres. I've always believed in sticking with the premium brands like Michelin, continental and Goodyear however.. Budget was tight and I needed a decent tyre so I gave Dynamo Street MH1 a shot and I'm so happy with them. Being a partner brand of sailun I'm not surprised they do everything perfectly well. Dry grip is great it's never made me feel uneasy, wet grip is also a good point. Handling is to be expected it's very safe and secure it never feels like it's giving up grip. Overall I'm more than happy to stick with dynamo tyres and avoid the premium brands. I should also note I thought I had a wheel bearing gone however it must've been the Goodyear vector 4 seasons gen 2 making the noise because ever since they've been gone the noise has vanished.
Dynamo tyres are the way to go.
