Methodology & Configuration
Scoring Process
  1. Collect Test Data: Gather results from professional tyre tests across multiple publications. Minimum 1 test(s) required.
  2. Normalize Positions: Convert test positions to percentile scores using exponential weighting (factor: 1.2).
  3. Apply Recency Weighting: More recent tests are weighted higher with a decay rate of 0.95.
  4. Incorporate User Reviews: Factor in user review data (minimum 5 reviews). Weight: 15%.
  5. Bayesian Smoothing: Apply Bayesian prior (score: 7, weight: 1.5) to prevent extreme scores with limited data.
  6. Calculate Final Score: Combine all components using normalization factor of 1.1. Max score with limited data: 9.5.

Given 93% while driving a Holden Caprice 6ltr (245/40 R20) on a combination of roads for 3,500 spirited miles
Only ever had bridgstone potenza tyres on this car changed to ku19s because of the reviews last year, and I wasn't disappointed. 245 40 20s up front and potenzas at back, these out cornered the old $550 p/tyre potenzas. Tyre wear has also improved, putting ku19 275 35 20s on the back, will let you know how they go, cheers.

Given 89% while driving a Holden SS V 6Ltr (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 3,000 average miles
Ku19 are a great tyre for the price. They are a good all round tyre that saves its best for the wet. I will use them again on my 6 litre v8 commodore. Cheers

Given 86% while driving a Audi a6 avant 3.0 tdi s line (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 6 spirited miles
Very good tyres. I had 2 KU19 on front and 2 Potenza on back. Very good grip, very good road feedback, low noise. I have a Quattro and it never understeered. Now i have winter tires Dunlop Winter Sport 3D. Sucks grip, big noise, hard steering. Very bad tires. Very happy with KU19/Potenza RE040 combination

Given 84% while driving a Holden SS V 6Ltr (245/40 R19 W) on mostly motorways for 10,000 average miles
Replaced my Potenza RE050A's with these KU19's. A great all-round choice, they grip as well as the Potenza's wet and dry and are quieter and have a slightly softer sidewall so offer a slightly more compliant ride. On smooth glassy roads perform as well as the Bridgestones, they definitely outperform the Potenzas on rough roads with spirited driving where the main fault of the RE050A's was a tendency to tram-line and skip, far less noticeable with the new KU19's. Plenty of feedback before giving way at the limit

Given 100% while driving a Ford XR 6 Turbo 50th Anniversary (245/35 R19 V) on a combination of roads for 5,000 spirited miles
Driving XR6 Turbo with 270 kW and flat 5 sec to 100 km/h stock, Kumho KU19 are best Tyres i ever had, Amazing grip at hard cornering on dry or wet doesn't make a difference. Take offs are also amazing no traction control piping up and no marks left behind.Very quiets at 130 km/h i can still hear engine not the road.Use to have Falkens,Michelins,Dunlops but Komho a way ahead from all of them. Will buy again for this price.

Given 90% while driving a Holden SS V 6Ltr (225/45 R17) on mostly town for 1,000 spirited miles
Only done 1000km on these tyres in the dry only. Had Yokohama S 245/45 R18 all round on SS commodore with 265 rear wheel kilowatts. With kumho ku19 I have 275/35 R19 on the rear and they have solved my steep up hill wheel spin of the mark. This could be due to the wider tyre as the Yokohamas are a good tyre and they had plenty of life left in them. On the front I went with ku19 at 245/45 R19 and so far could not fault them in a brake test in the dry . they felt grippy pulling up from 70 km/h. They have a slightly softer ride then the Yokohamas. I will be back to give a further review in the wet cheers
