These have the same pattern as the Bridgestone LM20's I used to have and their performance characteristics are also very similar. Handles snow and ice well, but not good if the ice is newly formed 'glassy' type. I guess you need studded tires for that kind of ice. LM20's had lasted 4 years with good grip but the last year wasn't great in spite of the fact that they had not weared much, we'll see how these will do.
I put snoways era on the front of my saab after 21000 miles coming up to winter 2009 and I have never used anything else when they are about 5 mm they go on the back and I put a new pair on the front.
The car has 171000 on it now ,it has snoways all round averages 37 to 38 mpg and I always see at least 50000 miles out of a pair .
These are pretty good tyres and they have often seen me home through deepest snow a foot deep on the final stretch of my journey ,I live in the countryside and snowploughs come around days late.i have driven many miles in my life 500 000 plus on one mercedes alone
In the eighties we had vredestein snow plus they were good but noisy , for the price the quality lassa are jolly good tyres

Perfect snow tyres. Best ever snow tyres for non SUV cars. On ice car remains controlable. In the wet pretty sure they can improve but there are no great snow tyres that are very good in the rain. Acceptable fuel efficiency. Tread wear is perfect for their reasonable price. Dry handling is pretty safe and because my tires are /45 they have good road feedback.

The tyres perform great. Just drove 1000km on them with the sport car. A combination of 50/50 motorway and regional roads. So far the tyres kept up to their promise. In the dry they perform as expected. Very stable and calm even the feel on the steering wheel is nice considering it is a winter tyre. I had the chance to drive them through a snowstorm on the motorway and regional roads and they performed better than I thought they would.
I tested once driving on motorway 120km/h with 30cm snow and the was very stable, very impressive.
I didn't use them much to say anything about the wear. In 5 years drove 5k miles and they still look well.
Overall I think that they are tyres worth buying.
