Methodology & Configuration
Scoring Process
  1. Collect Test Data: Gather results from professional tyre tests across multiple publications. Minimum 1 test(s) required.
  2. Normalize Positions: Convert test positions to percentile scores using exponential weighting (factor: 1.2).
  3. Apply Recency Weighting: More recent tests are weighted higher with a decay rate of 0.95.
  4. Incorporate User Reviews: Factor in user review data (minimum 5 reviews). Weight: 15%.
  5. Bayesian Smoothing: Apply Bayesian prior (score: 7, weight: 1.5) to prevent extreme scores with limited data.
  6. Calculate Final Score: Combine all components using normalization factor of 1.1. Max score with limited data: 9.5.

Given 61% while driving a Kia Motors Rio 5 (205/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 10,000 spirited miles
Bought this tyres in December 2020, and due to the current state of the roads in my country I have already blown one tyre and two others have bubbles even when the punishiment they took was not extreme. Not very durable compared to other tyres. I bought then in 205/45 R17 size with 88W rating. The handling is ok but is very easy to reach the limit. They behave rather predictable. For highway use are also ok. Sufficiently stable at speeds up to 170kph or 105 mph but its also easy to reach the limit when braking. Poor grip for emergency braking. The wet grip is almost the same as when dry. The tyres disperse the water well but they still reach the limit quick. As a really budget tyre is fine. Would buy then again in an emergency or if im tight with money.

Toyota (195/50 R15) on a combination of roads for 750 spirited miles
Pretty decent tyre for the money. Can't say much about wear but they have decent response and good grip in most conditions, would recommend and buy again.

Given 51% while driving a Renault Megane R26 (225/45 R17) on mostly country roads for 5,000 spirited miles
These tyres came on my car, they are OK for normal driving as soon as you get a little excited and drive spiritley you can tell they are a budget tyre. The wet grip is shocking and my traction control kicked in if I thought about using the noise pedal. All in all a good tyre for daily use but has low limits.

Given 34% while driving a BMW M3 (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 10,000 spirited miles
Worst tires ever, when its cold they are ok, but as soon as they heat up, they are completely useless, I had a crash already because not only understeer but oversteer, the four tires gave up at a corner at a autocross event and I hit a wall, I DO NOT recommend this to anyone. Also, they don't last a lot of mileage, 10000km and they have half of the thread left.

Given 83% while driving a Skoda Octavia VRS (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 3,000 spirited miles
great tyre for the price driven nearly 3000 miles on my 62 vrs both motorway and country roads again both easy driving and aggressive country road driving to which they perform better than the conti's i had on by a long mile also put the acceleration down a lot better rather than lighting up the wheels not sure on wear as only had them a few months but for £70 a tyre if i get 12000 miles ill be happy
