A very good Tyre overall

I have been using these tyres for years on my cars, and now have had them on my latest A4 avant s-line quattro. They actually reach excellence in my opinion, and although a PS4S is probably better on a sports car application and in the dry grip (GY is better in the wet), there are no better all-rounders than these tyres. So quiet and comfy still after 24k miles, and they have a minimum of 3.5mm +. They also provide good rim protection and they do look nice too. If you grab these on their sales, they are an utter bargain, and you will not be disappointed. I prefer the slightly higher pressures (38R, 42F) and they have worn evenly. 4WD cars with summer tyres need these things.Mid next year the tyres will be 3 years old and ready to replace all 4 again, and these are on the books, probably from Camskill.
These are the tyres supplied with the car. They have always given me enough grip whatever the road conditions. I find the car very relaxing to drive when pottering along, it gets a bit vague when pushing it a bit harder, but it is an Audi A4 avant sport, not an S-line. I do find the road noise to be quite high on rougher surfaces, I will change to Continentals when the Pirelli’s have worn out, hopefully they will be quieter.
They seem just as grippy as when they were new but they have got noisier and not quite as stable when the road has a bit of camber to it as they have worn, they are down to 4mm on the front and 6mm at the rear after 29500 miles.
per total o anvelopa senzationala pentru orice tip de drum uscat , ud , acoperit cu zapada ,gheata , inainte de acestea am avut tot hankook 225 50 17 icept evo 2 si acelea au fost senzationale cel putin pentru masina mea audi a4 b9 fwd break , de obicei imi place sa merg tare cu masina pe autostrada rulez mai mereu 150-160-170 kmph iar pe drumuri virajate la fel merg foarte tare si mi se pare ca au tinut bine la uzura undeva la 30000k km si 3 ani cu rotatii fata spate ,singurul dezavantaj pe care l am vazut a fost la urcari pe zapada probabil din cauza ca nu am respectat dimensiunea data de producator pt iarna adica 225 45 18 (pentru vara e 245 40 18), pe mers uscat pot sa spun ca se tin ca niste anvelope normale de vara gen nokian powerproof, pirelli powergy , dunlop sport maxx rt etc pe ud nu acvaplaneaza pe zapada este aproape imposibil sa derapezi lateral cu ele , am incercat sa fac niste drifturi si nici macar nu a subvirat era ca pe sine masina . deci per total este o anvelopa minunata pentru toate conditiile de drum si char va incurajez sa o achizitionati doar sa o luati pe dimensiunea recomandata de producator . mai las niste imagini de la ultima distractie pe zapada sa arat de unde am iesit cu masina fara lanturi care era suspendata pe zapada si rotile afundate.
PS: anvelopele din poza si poza cu masina in zapada sunt in aceeasi perioada maxim 2 saptamani diferenta si cu toate astea in stadiul in care era anvelopa tot mergea si pe uscat ud excelent si pe zapada mai slab

Excellent tire on the Audi A4 Avant Quattro. Performs well on dry and wet surfaces, and in the snow it’s excellent. Wear is not that noticeable, at least not in my tire size, for a car weighing 1.85 tons. Very satisfied.
Good tire, the grip is good in all conditions (except in winter on snow because I haven’t tested that). I’m quite dissatisfied because the tire that came as the stock first installation on the Audi A4 45 TDI, 3.0 is unusually worn, where the inner edge is abnormally worn out. From the outside it’s not visible how much the tire wore down on the inside until it became unusable. I don’t know if the tire has such characteristics that it’s soft and that’s the reason, or if I drove with too low pressure (to be fair, I didn’t check the pressure very often), but the wear pattern is quite strange. With another set of tires (different manufacturer and different dimensions) I didn’t have such problems. As a tire itself, it’s okay.
When I first fitted these tyres there was a night and day difference in terms of the performance from the Pirelli PZeros and the Dunlop Sport Maxx RT2 that were on the car the previous two times. Graip in dry - brilliant, wet - capable, handling - precise. Wear on the front - not that great at all. I kept them on probably longer than I should have due to how much it cost me for all 4 in one hit but the fronts wore way too fast. Rears are still going but I dread to think if I was driving a Quattro how many times I would have changed them if I stuck with them. Due to wear, I think I would try something else. May be Michelins if I can find them at a good price
I replaced Goodyear eagle F1 asy 6 with the latest ultrac + as I wanted a less sporty and comfortable tyre. Even though they have same rating C for economy A for wet grip and 69 for noise there was a instant drop in fuel economy and I had to run 4 psi higher tyre pressures to get close to the goodyears economy and that has wiped out the supposed comfort from these tyres. Noise maybe a little less on harsher road surfaces but little difference on quieter roads I've waited 3,000 miles to review and am a little disappointed.
