Methodology & Configuration
Scoring Process
  1. Collect Test Data: Gather results from professional tyre tests across multiple publications. Minimum 1 test(s) required.
  2. Normalize Positions: Convert test positions to percentile scores using exponential weighting (factor: 1.2).
  3. Apply Recency Weighting: More recent tests are weighted higher with a decay rate of 0.95.
  4. Incorporate User Reviews: Factor in user review data (minimum 5 reviews). Weight: 15%.
  5. Bayesian Smoothing: Apply Bayesian prior (score: 7, weight: 1.5) to prevent extreme scores with limited data.
  6. Calculate Final Score: Combine all components using normalization factor of 1.1. Max score with limited data: 9.5.

horroble tyres, even for the price

Given 90% while driving a Dacia Dacia sandero 2020 1.0 SCE (185/65 R15) on mostly country roads for 15,000 spirited miles
Honestly these tyres are all I ever use, I've used these on two cars first being a Skoda Citigo and now a dacia sandero 2020. I have 100% faith in them, I've taken them from Leicester to Scotland and back over 5 times and they've been faultless.

Tried them in heavy rain they were brilliant never felt like they'd give up or anything, they always feel secure and planted and I don't drive with a light foot..

Dry grip is utterly exceptional, I truely pushed these tyres 80MPH on back rossa and threw them round lots of corners and they just went round them effortlessly. I tried so hard to get them to slip but even at 80+ they stuck like glue to the road I just honestly can't believe how great they are.

High speed stability is great also, motorway you can have total confidence in them doesn't get blown around either which is a huge bonus.

The only thing I've seen is the car pulls slightly to the right ever since the tyres were fitted, I noticed it on my other car too but honestly it isn't bad it's perfectly fine it never feels like it's going to pull you into a ditch or anything it's just how they are.

I've covered over 15k miles sincs they were fitted on the rather heavy sandero and they still have 6mm of tread left so I honestly can't fault them and they were only £35 each...

Fuel consumption isn't their strong point as mine is rated E in my size but it's a very very small price to pay for dry and wet performance, it's hardly noticeable after a bit. They don't lose pressure at all they feel very good.

Noise levels are great too, nothing to complain about.

Overall Highly highly recommend this tyre for someone who wants a safe, fun and enjoyable drive without paying Michelin money. I wouldn't fit anything else to my car, ovation tyres are the way to go well done ovation.

Given 33% while driving a Ford Focus C Max (225/45 R17 V) on a combination of roads for 1,000 average miles
Bought a used car with these tyres practically new, changed them after around 1000 miles. Medium grip on dry but an absolute disaster on wet, even considering that they are a budget tyre.

Given 71% while driving a Volkswagen (B8) 1.4 TSI (150 Hp) DSG ACT (135/80 R13) on a combination of roads for 1,000 average miles
A decent enough tyre for most regular use. The wet grip is actually pretty good for a cheaper tyre considering the tyres for my car are very narrow I've never felt any loss of grip in the wet. Not perfect as feedback could be better but easy enough to tell what the limits are. Fit for purpose in my opinion.

Given 27% while driving a Lancia Musa (195/60 R15) on mostly motorways for 10,000 easy going miles
Very insecure tyres, even though I'm slower driver the car pulls it's over the place. I don't know how the tyres are hard on the bumps uncomfortable but soft on the curves. Second worst tyres I have have on a car, the worst are Tigar by far.

Given 40% while driving a Skoda Yeti 4 x 4 (225/50 R17) on a combination of roads for 5,000 average miles
Fitted to a Yeti when I bought it. No feedback from them at all. No grip to speak of on mud or greasy surfaces. Junk tyres.

Given 27% while driving a Renault Scenic (185/65 R15) on mostly town for 0 easy going miles
absolutely no grip in the wet ABS coming on at even the lowest speeds OK in the dry but had no confidence in them, where on the car when purchased had to change them ASP to Uniroyal's the difference is staggering.
