Methodology & Configuration
Scoring Process
  1. Collect Test Data: Gather results from professional tyre tests across multiple publications. Minimum 1 test(s) required.
  2. Normalize Positions: Convert test positions to percentile scores using exponential weighting (factor: 1.2).
  3. Apply Recency Weighting: More recent tests are weighted higher with a decay rate of 0.95.
  4. Incorporate User Reviews: Factor in user review data (minimum 5 reviews). Weight: 15%.
  5. Bayesian Smoothing: Apply Bayesian prior (score: 7, weight: 1.5) to prevent extreme scores with limited data.
  6. Calculate Final Score: Combine all components using normalization factor of 1.1. Max score with limited data: 9.5.

Top 3 Bridgestone Blizzak LM001 EVO Reviews

Given 74% while driving a Jeep Renegade longitude4x4 (215/60 R17 H) on a combination of roads for 15,000 average miles
Balanced tyre more suitable for dry and wet road. Wear is too quick due to the limited tread depth and the compound.

Given 74% while driving a BMW 320d touring (225/50 R17) on a combination of roads for 10,000 average miles
This is end of life review on a 7 year old LM001 EVO. It's a standout tire in wet braking but loses out on wet handling and aquaplaning resistance. Snow performance is below average and I would not recommend using this tire in regions covered with snow. Comfort levels are OK but as the tire ages tire noise is more audible inside the cabin. Using this tire in dry conditions (less colder) wears out more quickly. In simple words, this tire is not my favorite

Given 92% while driving a Ford Focus (205/55 R16) on mostly motorways for 0 spirited miles
Very quiet, sharp on steering wheel, on cold and wet is superb, snow is pretty good but not the best, braking superb, i will buy again.
