Methodology & Configuration
Scoring Process
  1. Collect Test Data: Gather results from professional tyre tests across multiple publications. Minimum 1 test(s) required.
  2. Normalize Positions: Convert test positions to percentile scores using exponential weighting (factor: 1.2).
  3. Apply Recency Weighting: More recent tests are weighted higher with a decay rate of 0.95.
  4. Incorporate User Reviews: Factor in user review data (minimum 5 reviews). Weight: 15%.
  5. Bayesian Smoothing: Apply Bayesian prior (score: 7, weight: 1.5) to prevent extreme scores with limited data.
  6. Calculate Final Score: Combine all components using normalization factor of 1.1. Max score with limited data: 9.5.

Given 80% while driving a Volkswagen Transporter (275/40 R20) on mostly town for 0 average miles
I have these tyres on my VW T5.1, they were on when I bought it. Considering I`m running 20`s the ride is surprisingly good. Even the North Wales potholes are taken in their stride....most of the time. I`ve had no grip issues so far (not used in snow or ice yet and probably never will). As for road noise....I think some people need better door rubbers as I think they are perfectly fine. I`ve definately had noisier tyres on some cars. They seem to be wearing ok too.

Given 56% while driving a Land Rover Freelander 2 (235/65 R17) on mostly town for 3,500 average miles
Very noisy and you feel everything on the road ( lumps and bumps). These tyres were on the car when I bought it so the sooner they wear out the better. Michelin available for similar money. I suppose as a midrange tyre they're OK but forget regular motorway work....or turn the radio up!

Given 42% while driving a Land Rover Freelander 2 (225/45 R17) on mostly town for 500 average miles
Omg I have put 4 of these on my land rover and they are so noisy over 50 miles an hour that they give me a headache. Waste of money don’t buy. Give them a slap when you are parked and they make a loud ping noise. Worst tyres ever. They look the part but that’s as far as it goes.

Given 89% while driving a BMW X5 (225/45 R17) on mostly country roads for 30,000 spirited miles
I have done 50000 Kim's fitted on a Bmw X5. Roadian Roadstone Tyres have excelled in all area's, great grip in wet & dry with fantastic feedback. Great value for money and they out perform the so called superior brands. Highly recommend this tyre and would purchase again.

Given 26% while driving a Audi 1.8T Quattro (235/40 R18) on mostly motorways for 0 spirited miles
Dangerous tires. Dont recommend. Yhere is lots of better budget tires on market that cost the same or less but much better.
